It's a good game. I was literally hooked with the demo for hours.

lulz i thought no support for my resolution also.

only got 1280 x 960
i choose that resolution anyway.

the game is quite fun and remind me of harvest moon xD

it reminds me of dungeon maker (psp) minus the dungeon making haha!

It's an indie game that got translated so can't expect much... though the price is quite steep for an indie game that doesn't support full screen.

It's really that fun? How's the combat?

using the demo i only managed to get up to lvl 6 merchant
probably could push up to lvl 7-8 if i could managed to entertain the customer random orders
also nobody buys my 21k vase even after 50% off

This game reminds me of one of the PS1 games..can't remember the name...it involves shopping/selling/adventure thingy...they are just the same, even the graphics are familiar...argghh..can't recall that game..Guess that I should just say that it's the same as Ragnarok game..lol

Still, it's fun to play..

He's poor but pretty reliable... especially when you're under the impression that he's the only adventurer available for you.

And yeah, darned lil' girl who always walk out on me even with 110% price WTF?!

It's hard to answer you on this. What's your stance on indie games? If you think good games (no matter who develops them) deserve support, then by all means go ahead with the purchase. However, since there's still time before the game is released, I would advise you to give the demo a try first.

personally i like this game but im not going to pay a full price $19.99 for an indie game. will wait it for sale

go deep into the dungeon
dont just exit it after the first 5 levels

I completed up to level 10 but need to go back as my bag is full.

i realised some citizens is really poor especially the little girl

I'm normally not too particular about who is the developer. Fun games are fun games, afterall.

download the demo and try it out for yourself to see if you like this kind of games.

Tried the demo. Found it addictive. Problem now is that its not available in my region.

Since you are in Japan, wouldn't it be better to just get the Japanese version of the game?

Wouldn't be surprised if the company doing the translation doesn't have the license to distribute it in Japan as the original developers are still selling it there. Maybe you can get the english version from them?

Have you tried to get it from Impulse since they also sell the game?

The Recettear Japanese website is even advertising the English version at their Japanese webpage so it makes sense that the thing is open to the region no?

GG is also bound to the region lock issue.

But still, he can give it a try & check if this game is available in his region's GG. I know I'm getting mine from GG since it's much more advantageous.

interesting gameplay. sux during 1st run, goin well on the 2nd. (tho my home got seized in the 2nd. investing to much into getting Fusion skill, wasted on deco which i tot can deco my item shop.)

Fusion seem good way to make cheap item, with proper ingredient into 1 hell good expensive item.

I failed on my first run, but I got 20k in the second run lol.

hehe, I found out that alot ppl from anime shrine love this game, liek nene and kona

im not an anime fan but this game is addicting tho.

Also the art doesn't spell "ANIME BOOBS YOU MUST LIEK IT" to me, so that's a plus.

Interesting gameplay but the art style and the moe-ness of the game is kind of irritating to me though.

Game is fun but dying in dungeon is not. I rather load game than move on.
(especially if you buy all those expensive armor/weapons for the hero)

Ehh? But I find the control pretty normal, almost the same like those old console games.

Maybe she played too much Asian MMOs where you use a mouse instead. Because if you've played SoM or any ABS games, the control is normal.

lol ya...i've never played this kind of game on pc b4...if only i hav a gamepad...

but for this game, gamepad seems the best choice...it only use 2 buttons for action anyway...

I'm suspecting because most of Japanese games have a certain game design, because Japan was mostly console and not PC back then unlike the Americans, therefore they rarely use more than a few buttons, while Western games take advantage of almost every key. Even with the keyboard now, I'm pretty sure its customary for the Japanese to use no more than a few buttons, but I ache and don't feel natural with the joystick anyway. But its personal preference, a guy says he can't play MW2 without a joystick o.O

The dungeon movement is very slow

I wish they increased the game speed.

The dungeon tend to have severe slowdowns even on a decent systems. Have you turn down the graphics via custom.exe contained in the game installation folder?

Anyway, one more day before official release!

Erm... I think it doesn't matter if we downloaded the demo from Steam, GG or directly from Carpe Fulgur, right? I'm a little puzzled as I don't encounter the dungeon slow movement issue & I downloaded my demo from GG.

Tried the demo, it's a not too bad game thought it's too much of a console'ish feel to it for me. I'll give this a pass. And i don't have any issue with dungeons too. Smooth.

Its 10th september, its going to be released soon!

I did encountered 1 bug when I get a missing file error when loading the dialogues. But I can still play the game anyway.

Nagi- You can get her after few event in the dungeon. (apparently she is lost on the way to somewhere n ended up dungeon)
after few event, she will 1st appear as customer (event) n finally gave her card.

battle - attack range, 1 straight line. better range than Louis (or watever his name). since her attack is a straight line, kinda hard to hit the bee.


Elan - Got him after few town event.

battle - kinda like Nagi but shorter range. can do 2 hit combo. able to dash (straight only). same problem with Nagi, its da bee.


Caillou - Need to reach certain merchant level (taking order in advance skill). He will show upp asking for charred lizard, Slime Liver n cant remember wat de.
since there is not time limit to get the item for him, he will come once awhile even after u fail to met his demand when u appear. other 2 are easy to get, Slime Liver, u had to get it from King of Slime.

Battle - since hes a mage, his attack range is like Elan, but worse. he can charge up his attack (fire ball projectile), but while chargin, hes immobile. every normal attack add SP, so dun be afraid of using his skill.


Tiella - Like Charme, she appear on the 3rd final dungeon where u had to face her.

Battle - range attack, her normal attack are chargeable,
uncharged: mid range attack
lvl 1: long range attack
lvl 2: 3 split arrows attack
lvl 3: 5 split arrows attack
lvl 4: 5 split arrows attack + 1 behind
lvl 5: 5 split arrows attack + 3 behind

n my shop:

I done the 2nd dungeon from level 1 to 15 for a few times already but still havent manage to recruit Charme

Hrm... according to http://recettear.wikia.com/wiki/Charme, you should have got her. I still haven't play mine, so I guess I'm not in the appropriate position to say much.

Played this game,really have fun on it,all thought dungeon crawing sure is hard in this game...

Dungeon hunting aren't really profitable, other than hunting for ingredient for fusion.

Louie is good. even if u are broke, u're able to hire him for free. his attack range are somehow better than Charme.
imho, Louie is still better choice. Tielle come 2nd, then Charme. the rest is somehow bad.

Meh, I beat the game with 700k+, before deducting, and on the second loop ( losing 1 time )
