QUOTE(etigge @ Jun 17 2011, 07:28 PM) You mean the 'balai' in Air Itam itself or the 'balai' in Kampung Baru. The food court 'sa kak heng'. If it is the former, I never tried but parking is a pain there. Just before the Ambassador roundabout there's also a good 'Hokkien Mee' in one of the coffee shops. It is on the left side coming from town. the balai in air itam, center shop have a bakery shop. i went there to try but quality is down as compare to what i had. but theres one of my fav wantan mee i use to patronize once i go penang. the stall is at the lumba kuda residential area. maybe i get the road name when i go there again. small bowl only n thats their style. i always swallow two bowls |

QUOTE(penangqn @ Jun 20 2011, 03:55 PM) how about seafood in gurney/georgetown/BF? Heard of Bali Hai but there were mixed reviews. Some says it's expensive those who dont hav money will said tambun is nice n cheap. those who has money, they thought its really cheap already, so its preference. it should be good bcos the seafood can be choose by you n see instantly. |

thanks but something turn me off.. the fish ball in it...
assam laksa with fish ball is fusion or eurasian but can reject that extra when ordering. by the way, char koay teow in the dato kramat road opposite the federal highway has no longer frying with lard , so becareful yeah.. one may think that they are still one of the best but if u are able to taste the different than u r still a truly penang char koay teow lover. U can't deny the fact that some Bloggers are handicapped in food thus they will write very bad review . just request the owner to add lard for u . When i asked them the reason , they said because of some vegetarian lovers and Indian customers who don't take LARD.. WHAT ABOUT US?? MAJORITY TAKES LARD>>>ARSE HOLE!!!! |

PEnang Transfer Road Roti Canai quality goes down the same drain when it open the same shop there. the quality of roti canai is so bad , the flour not even cook and it's like rubber.
go to Agyrll Road better if u r looking for the same daging gravy. I think VKeong blog has to change his recommendation now. This post has been edited by hackwire: Sep 4 2012, 09:51 AM |

QUOTE(vkeong. @ Sep 4 2012, 11:42 AM) actually i have never commented the roti canai is great. I only think the curry is quite special cool, my mistake.. and you're right that argyrll road's better but then it comes all chopped up looking like a pile of garbage swimming in gravy the kuah is nice but not as nice as those days i had like 20 years ago when im still riding bike to college. now the argyll road also improvised their beef curry similar with theirs , those days they only have chicken curry which is their signature kuah. QUOTE(vkeong. @ Sep 6 2012, 02:25 PM) is it the general perception that a particular food appears on my blog, then it's good? even without reading the content? your photos are good and it's one of the best layout i ever seen so far. the content comes secondary because of your reputation. everyone will endorsed Vkeong blog as a place to hunt for food. so , it's better that u run good restaurant review than those minions that don't deserve in your blog or u may use emblem to highlight the one your recommended most.just asking Added on September 8, 2012, 7:15 am QUOTE(UpCar @ Sep 6 2012, 03:36 PM) this is why i trust eatedliao.blogspot.com a few photos a bit blur and photos are not stunning like Vkeong. moreover, u need to double click the photo to zoom out, a bit of wasting time here. u very kua cheong la brader, best blog in the world..hahah the bestest blog in the whole world. can fight with alot of others. look at the pics itself already know is so profesionnaly taken. so much depth and so much concentration and so meaningful. every shot is a masterpiece. can see the contrast and focus of each picture. so detailed as if every shot was taken with macro lens. so finely focused and finely timed. actually i search around for Penang Buffet Dinner and i noticed that these popular Hotels that served buffet dinner such as rasa, park royal, hard rock do served very quality seafood BUT the seafood like prawn, crab, lobster etc are mostly grilled if im not mistaken by looking at some of those blogs. some are baked . anyway, my choice will be probably Rasa because of the 5 Stars status. Will i go wrong on this choice for seafood buffet?
