Want to ask: where to get best halal chinese style penang char koey teow in kl???
i getting hard time to locate any shop or pasar malam with the best old school type of char koew teow that i used to eat 3-4 plate each time i go for dinner at parit buntar 5 years ago..
that when i starting my 1st job there for while
the cook is a chinese but cooking with small stall only..
malay char koew teow now all wet type, too many soup like almost mee bandung already..
seem hard to get that nostalgic taste..

for me, char koey teow is ike u said koay teow kerang if cooked by local chinese stall or shop. if malay stall, i only said "koay teow goreng" only..
no matter if got kerang or not..
i already go to various pasar malam around kl, malay or chinese stall to locate the taste that suit for me to be called ok good.
For the soy sauce, some CKT cook mixing up 2-4 soy sauce to cook CKT. they said it for the best CKT, but the taste only so-so ok lar. i have seen twice at butterworth and kulim kedah..the CKT almost good that the one i have taste parit buntar, but till cant fight..
nowdays living at kl hard to get outstation just to find a great CKT..
for a malay like me, i have to see the cook cooking CKT for while before i feel satisfied that CKT is halal even the cook is a chinese. if got some suspicious, then dun buy la..
that y im getting hard time to locate halal one at kl..

at KJ already got? im used to lived there for while 7 years ago la.. that before i finish study..now staying at Taman Batu. surely will going to KJ next week to try it.
