Sorry for the late reply, ultra busy and hectic day....catching up with my daily work...

1. No such clause. There is no contract in this world that will side an individual. From housing loan, insurance, service provider, employment contract...etc
Sad fact of life... ><"
2. No trial period. For the record, all fibre broadband internet providers have a lockdown period of 24 months. This includes TIME, TM, Maxis, Vasetti...etc
3. Most probably it will be throttled. But I really doubt it if the quota will be implemented soon.
4. No way at all. Negative. Will surely be able to surf at reasonable speed

+1
Spot on answers!!
People out there, you all are being too paranoid....

Added on May 23, 2012, 11:38 pm

Not true. This RM118 @ 10Mbps is for a limited time only. 4Mbps and 6Mbps (the normal packages) will be back once this is over.

Added on May 23, 2012, 11:39 pm

not sure about PS3, but Diablo 3, for sure can!!!!
Coz I'm playing it too.... :-)

Added on May 23, 2012, 11:42 pmThe FREE 1st month subscription that I earlier on posted in my signature is not available anymore....sorry guyz..... :-(

Just found out this afternoon and spend a long time arguing about it with the Home Dept. Anyway, the RM50 Jusco voucher is still on!

And apologize for all the delayed reply today, was very busy at work. Nonetheless, I still managed to reply to each and every PM that I received...phew....and its' close to 1,000 already, for the record... :-)

That's all for my update.

Still a VERY, VERY good offer on its own, IMHO. They removed the cherry on the cake, but the cake itself is still secret recipe stuff, not pandan chiffon cake....LOL

as we all know that Maxis is sharing the same infrastructure with TM.. so do u think that.. if TM does not implement the quota so do Maxis?.. As Im still wonder the 100gb can last for how long actually if they implement the quota and not sure it combine dl n ul or only dl itself.. u know.. as now im using the streamyx.. ya only 1mbps. but nvr need to worry about the quota XD..

I saw from Maxis Forum, if over quota, the speed will cap at 512kbps
This is the answer from Maxis.
*

I thought capping is 10% of your subscribe speed.. 10% of 10Mbps = 1Mbps
*
if cap at 1mbps.. i really dont mind they implement as im currently using 1mbps streamyx also.. is just like back to the normal speed i used to connect.. but if 32kbps.. holy shit.. y dont they just say if u exceed quota.. u no longer connect to the net.. doh.gif

I believe the sharing is at the last mile connection only. All Maxis FTTH traffic will be routed to the Malaysia Internet Exchange (MyIX) , and from there into Maxis network and its international lines. So technically speaking, you are only on TM network for the first few loops only. Since MyIX has very large capacity , it won't overload TM infrastructure because these traffic are all 'local' traffic from your house to MyIx.

Correct me if I am wrong.

thx.. by the way.. any 1 hear about what speed they will cap at if u exceed ur quota (if they implement quota).. as i got it from the maxis call centre was 32kbps.. haha.. n some said 10% which will be 1mbps.. n some said 512kbps.. anyone to clarify it?.. if 32kbps.. y not just cut our connection?.. as it is slower than the years ago dial up speed doh.gif

can somebody justify this??  shocking.gif
*
just called maxis.. they said.. down to 512kbps.. n 512kbps is the best speed u can get.. means u might get lower than 512kbps.. n confirmed by them that 100gb quota combined dl & ul (if they implement the quota).. so.. think nicely before changing la.. haha.. i might just stick with my 1mbps as i only paid RM68 per month je.. hehe

Maxis launched a very attractive promotion, yet they did not allocate enough resources to handle the customers.
It is like having a stock clearance sale, and they only hire 1 shopkeeper to handle the customers. doh.gif

I am saying this because I have submitted my form on 22-May, until now still no call from them. I called them to complaint, and 1 week has passed, they are still not able to find out the status of my registration. shakehead.gif
*
agree!.. when they cannot foresee the outcome then they are considered as failed.. they let down so many of us who submitted the form and not getting any call yet..

The Maxis FTTH Cust Service should do better and keep customer informed of the progress of getting the line/port open and the target installation date rather than keep quiet.

Most likely Maxis is waiting for TM to respond on the above before can commit to the installation date.
For those who have installed the Maxis FTTH, do you notice the IP address renew every 2/3 days ?
Mine got renew every few days.
*
true.. i rather they keep updating us even the installation is goin to be a little more later.. by just keep quiet is nvr a good way to treat ur customer.. especially when a lot of us who already jumped out from maxis (for their mobile plans - u know i know how maxis sucks money from their clients) n now started to feel a little bit more comfort with the price offered for the fibre.. maxis only good in letting their clients down.. doh.gif

This is due to the overwelming responses of the promotion 10Mbps @ rm118..
If u are the ISP, n the demand is way beyond what u had expected, u will respond a bit slower..
*
I thought this can be foresee before everything happened?.. and even u couldnt foresee, somehow if u promised to give a call in 48 hours then u should commit to what promised.. if u cannot commit then dont promise from the beginning.. poor management i say..
