Just curious, is the speed really match up to what they claim to be i.e. 10mbps.....
I was told Maxis is wholesaling TM infrastructure at a price. Will this change later? |

Quotas are usually calculated data downloaded + data uploaded.

That's very good for Maxis to share Fibre Infra only. I never want to use TM's "over-subscribe" gateway also. |

I hope Maxis extends this promotion for another month. Than surely will put a lot of pressure on TM. Between Maxis and TM is not about having just enough subscribers....it's about being no 1 in market share. In the end consumers win.

Won't be anytime soon for sure....Regardless of where you sign up, it will really take quite some....esp if roadshows, even longer time as there will be an additional 2-3 days before it reaches back to HQ to be sorted out.... juz wanna enquire existing Maxis FTTH users..i juz installed the 10mb (RM118) package earlier today..
somehow i encounter slow download using torrent, around 100kb per second tops, and sumtimes the speed drops to <50kb per second.. i hv tried downloading various kinds of files, but the result still the same..is there any setting that i can do to improve on this?..bcoz i supose that i shud be getting around 1mb per second if i'm not mistaken.. another thing is that when i used this connection on my PS3, "The router in use may not support IP fragments, and the communication features of some games may be restricted." appears on my PS3 network settings screen.. i tried to play online and somehow i didn't feel any improvement to the online experience(still laggy) compared to streamyx 1mb which i used before.. hoping that maybe a Maxis FTTH PS3 user can enlighten me in this issue as well.. btw this is my speedtest result.. ![]() |

QUOTE(petlu28 @ Jun 1 2012, 05:03 PM) hahaha anything shared here let us know. Once you have cancelled your service with TM, your final bill will be in dark pink/red (showing that its the final bill). If there is balance after deduction of the deposit (which will be mentioned), they will send you in a form of a cheque (my previous 2 were Citibank cheque's) a few months later.Added on June 1, 2012, 8:19 pmRegarding our TM fixed line. QUOTE(AeL_7 @ Jun 2 2012, 12:36 AM) juz wanna enquire existing Maxis FTTH users..i juz installed the 10mb (RM118) package earlier today.. There is a reason why before every torrent they would state the number or seeders and leechers. Normally people would limit upload speeds to some degree. So it really depends on how many people are getting the file. If u are using utorrent, look at health (full bar) and seed/peer ratio. the higher the merrier unless there is a Malaysian as one of your peers somehow i encounter slow download using torrent, around 100kb per second tops, and sumtimes the speed drops to <50kb per second.. i hv tried downloading various kinds of files, but the result still the same..is there any setting that i can do to improve on this?..bcoz i supose that i shud be getting around 1mb per second if i'm not mistaken.. another thing is that when i used this connection on my PS3, "The router in use may not support IP fragments, and the communication features of some games may be restricted." appears on my PS3 network settings screen.. i tried to play online and somehow i didn't feel any improvement to the online experience(still laggy) compared to streamyx 1mb which i used before.. hoping that maybe a Maxis FTTH PS3 user can enlighten me in this issue as well.. btw this is my speedtest result.. ![]() Your speed is awesome. You will be getting 1.3MB/s downloads if it is a direct download. |
