Still thinking... whether to get or not. I'm already comfortable with TM and their customer service. With Maxis I'm a bit nervous with their billshock reputation and all. Also same boss with the notorious Astro. But this package seems too attractive for a Streamyx 1Mb user like me. Many things to consider... the call plans, etc etc...

But tell me, the equipments that come with Maxis 118 package are only the dect phone and wireless modem router (all-in-one), correct? Or is it modem and wireless router separate? I ask this because I don't like having too many equipments and cables 'menyemak' in my house.

You are right Swordylove. Regarding the quota they given Unlimited (until further notice) is make a bit confuse. Look like not worst IF we apply now then 1 year later they say quota change since we have sign up 2 years contract.

Only when TM starts their quota, only then Maxis will follow suit lah... enjoy the unlimited quotas NOW.

im a new maxis home fibre user so i get DECT (Cordless) Phone (Aztech E 310) and White color residential gateway (TG 784) plus a modem from UNIFI. From my understanding maxis bought a bandwidth from TM,so all the infra still provided by TM.

If this is the case, our speed depends on TM's network backbone .... not really good in terms of resolving issues later on. a blame game may happen between TM & Maxis, with customer stuck in between.   

So that means 3 equipments la? phone, RG, and modem... not like what appeared on Maxis website... phone and wireless modem router (all-in-one). Can anyone confirm this? DrPitchard?
You're right la. If want to complain about a problem and it's TM's fault then will take long to solve the issue 

The 2 devices mention by Maxis is provided by Maxis...
The BTU device is provided by TM... thus not shown (not relevant from Maxis POV)

True that, maxis only provide 2 devices. Anyway Maxis did explain to me to standby 3 power socket for the devices, means there is another device by TM.

Does anyone know if Maxis Fibre Broadband supports Port Forwarding? For CCTV installation

I just check with them. She say can connect to Home Alarm but for CCTV i not sure.

Yea, guys and girls out there, the Q is now ridiculously long and ppl are working literally round the clock to clear the backlog.....

To update you guys, processing time might take a week longer or so for your installation date. Unless you are staying at rural area/super kampung, then the installation will be quick....LOL

Malacca anybody? Or even Kajang? :-)

Maxis CS say can control my home alarm thru IP address. I also don't know what means. Normally i can control my home alarm when i call back home.

DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Services). How can you control your home alarm with IP address?

my torrent speed not as stable as my streamyx... its fluctuated between 400kbps-1000kbps.. public tracker more worse,only manage to get around 3++kbps..
