Is it a really good choice?

Studying aboard are told very hard since because of money issues. But it wouldn't be a problem if you have money rite?

anyone here is studying aboard? what difficulties you encounter? Especially in a country that forsho doesn't take english as their main language.

Japan is a cool place... the people there are real nice... and their ethics deserve respect nod.gif
My phD supervisor studied in Japan before, yes, language can be a problem, which is why you need to learn their language. There's also devices which help you more or less "communicate" with those who do not speak English~
Shouldn't be too hard a problem if you try hard icon_rolleyes.gif

Not a very good choice compared to other places with english as medium. Sure their education is good and all but quality of life is bad for someone who cannot speak japanese fluently. If you can speak japanese then its a good choice smile.gif

Hey, how about Tokyo Geijutsu Daigaku? It is the most prestigious arts schools in Japan, if I'm not wrong currently do not have any Malaysians admitted into the institution.

I think those wish to go Japan to study better have Japanese Language as their secondary language (that means you may need to give up English), if not you will suffer... Those passed JLPT exam in N3 level I think is quite sufficient to go Japan to study...

If you want to study in Japan be prepared to spend a lot of money if you don't have scholarship. If you want scholarship you can try the Monbugakusho Scholarship given by the government of Japan every year (check Japan Embassy for details). If not, there are local Japanese prep colleges here that prepare you for your university studies in Japan. I remember in the past there were Study-in-Japan fairs as well which you can definitely check out. Go Google search them. =)

Japan is famous for mainly engineering since it's a technology advanced country. Yes, you need to at least pass JLPT Level 1 (native-level) exam because their medium of instruction is in Japanese. However, in certain unis their Master programmes are conducted in English.

My friend said scholarship is very easy to get, 70% of foreign students in Japan able to get scholarship, but most of them apply in Japan, not outside Japan.

So, for someone want to go Japan study, prepare about RM100k saved in Japanese Bank to prove financial independent, and use for tution fees for first semester, entrance examination fee, admission fee, and living cost for first few months, then apply for scholarship. Some institutions requires EJU, some requires JLPT, some JLPT is not required. But even JLPT level 1 is not required, but please make sure your Japanese Language is good in conversational level, because most Japanese can't speak English well.

Currently Japanese universities needs a lot of foreign students to maintain their universities, because Japanese youth population is sharply decreasing.

I will going to JEIC to check more info, next month. Any info to share? Someone studied in Japan?

It depends on what you want to study, if u want to study any science related subject then i would advise u not to make japan as your choice. Summore, study in japan is really expensive!! i mean "really", tokyo is top in the world for standard of living. To say that scholarships are easy to get is not that accurate... but they are comparative easier to get than other countries, even if u get scholarship is still very expensive, unless it is monbukakusho or jpa or petronas..
