Just avoid Michelin, I accidentally hit the curb the other time and had to replace the entire tyre. Was using Michelin and it was just a light bump against the curb. The tear was huge!

Maybe because of the soft compound used in the tyre ?

a.drive was an entry level tires. if you're looking for a harder sidewall, re001 or ad08 in ep class, else, s.drive or toyo t1r in uhp class is decent enough.
other than that, goodyear asymmetric for overall performance is worth looking at too.
make sure to pump 'em at correct pressure.

and yes, michellin lc series are of low rolling resistance tires, thus slightly softer and lower tread wear rate.
currently on my 2nd set of michellin ps3, which is so far, the best value for money in uhp tires class.
