08 October 2010 – After the Antennagate storm, it seems like Apple has found another potential issue with the slide-on cases. Engadget reports that the trapped particles on the slide-on case will cause scratches to appear when slipping on a case repetitively. These scratches will eventually cause the iPhone 4's back glass panel to be cracked or shattered. Despite the lack of official announcement from Apple regarding the issue, gdgt has reported that Apple has responded to the problem silently by restricting the sales of the third-party slide-on cases. In addition, Apple has setup an investigation to solve the issue.
