from what i know, unifi only will be installed on a completed moved-in unit and not a unit that is under constrcution. my biggest concern is the way the fibre will be laid - from outside the house into the house and also the internal wiring. if this is done after reno, no way we could ask the contractor to conceal the fibre the way we want it to be - nicely done and hidden inside the wall. o/wise the standard casing will be the ugliest sight. i am still considering what would be the best installation method - either to pre-installed the LAN points on each rooms/living/etc for the direct connection & AP unit. hmm.. just hate to see shoddy cablings/casing after spent lot of money on reno.

I ran the unifi to my upstairs room since its my work room, and them im using a homeplug to connect the set top box downstairs. that was the best solution for me.

Just applied for Maxis Fiber. Good deal. Only concern is running the cable. Still scratching my head on how and where to run. Any suggestions?

I would like to install air-con but 2 of the technicians whom I asked for their service said eventhough the piping are ready, they say they still have to rip of this piping and put in a new one. So, the charges are the same for installation with or without piping.
Anyone of you people have installed your air-cons without putting new piping? If yes, any technicians you can recommend. Thanks |

So, the charges are the same for installation with or without piping. It really depends on the aircond you bought. The existing piping is only suitable for normal aircond without inverter. If you bought the inverter aircond, then the pipings have to change. Refer to some earlier postings about this. Should give you some clue. Yeap, I understand that only Daikin inverter support existing piping. The unit that i bought are all non-inverter models. My question is how reliable is the air-con piping installed by the developer. Did any of you had any issue with it when installing normal non-inverter air-cons?
Thanks |

Installed mine afew weeks ago, the copper piping is good, however in the master bedroom, beware of the water outlet. Mine had problems cos it ran to the right instead of down/left, so when the installer installed the bracket, the mounting screw punctured the pipe. Also had problems with the water outlet in the hall, the pipe was burried in the mud, had to get the developer to rectify it.

I had my installer check all the piping during installation. It took 2 full days just to install all the 5 units. Luckily mine was all ok.Thanks |

Thanks people for your input. Really appreciate it.
Added on June 8, 2012, 9:24 amPlease give me the contact of your air-con installer. It would be better to engage someone who has experience installing it in Nusaputra. Thanks This post has been edited by kramalin: Jun 8 2012, 09:24 AM |

My aircond installer is AC Cool. They are based in Kuchai Entrepreneurs Park. They are also reselling Midea airconds which has the inverter model and can use our current piping just like Daikin.
It is recommended to apply for the MPSepang sticker for reno just in case they come kacau. Once get, just stick on your glass door. As per MPSepang regulations, just install grill also need to apply. There is 2 types of licence. One is for major reno like extention, etc. The other is minor reno for grills, light installation, etc. If you do not have any major reno like breaking down walls inside your house, then apply for the minor reno permit. Check with MPSepang on the amount. The total is about RM300+ for minor reno and when conpleted can get back some deposit also. This post has been edited by mms360: Jun 14 2012, 09:50 AM |

I just wanna say that i am very dissapoint with the service i get with nusaputra precint 2 management/maintenance, spent millions to buy the house yet get a slow and bad service. Well its too late. I love the community here, very friendly, but when it comes to management, they have no experience on customer service. My issues are, a million rm house full of cracks and cracks, what even funny is they only reply with "tak boleh buat apa-apa"(notes: from my observation this will nly happen to end corner lot unit). Not to mention, the cracks also lead to my underground piping leaking at the back, thus breeding hundreds of moth flies and mosquitos and the smell is quite bad especially on rainy day(something like a smell of an underground man hole). What worse is, it has been 2 weeks since they promise to come and fix the piping and guess what? I have to cancel out many appointments every single day just to wait for them to come but they never show up. Oh and how do u feel if ur security guard gave ur phone number to a stranger who then call u up and threatening u if u dont hire them to do work? Yes happen to me and i already did a police report. I just wondered, why do i pay a montly maintenance fees when i did not get a fix on warranty job, suddenly i do not feel safe when the guy who threatening me and family came in to the neigbourhood 3 times in 3 days without being stop by the guards, paiseh. I love nusaputra actually. Not the design, not the management, not the after service, but the community. Ive stay here for 3 years(precint 1) and 7 months(precint 2). Neighbours are friendly, at night things goes very quiet and peace. But boo to the management.

Since you already stayed at precinct 1 for 3 years, you should know the management very well. Did you upgrade? What house is this? SD? Are the cracks due to ground movement?

Diff management precint 1 is taraf unggul and precint 2 is metrogen but both under the same roof. Its a corner unit in precint 2. Today is day hmm i dont know. Month 5 perhaps. I just want them to fix the leaking underground pipe cos its really annoying to deal with the moth and mosquitos. The cracks is all over the house, but i dont care bout cracking much dy, whats important is they fix the leaking pipe. Today i call a guy name mr sia for 20 times he dont pick up. They Promise to come today.
UPDATED: On the day they should come, the management ignore my calls and my mom's call. So we continue to call the maintenance guy for over 40 times. Yes 40 times. I think he also boring already, suddenly got bangla at the back doing the piping work. Quite relieves even though they gave me such problems. Such a lovely neighbourhood but screw up by the management. This post has been edited by Wangan: Oct 10 2012, 12:49 AM |
