Is there any service to lower the in-game ping of LOTRO? I know it's not terrible, but the response time is a bit off for my taste. So far I know that lowerping and gamepath don't offer their services for this game. sad.gif

depend on how you want to play the game. all the classes pretty much balanced. for me hunter is a good first char since it's a pretty straight forward class. good soloer, great dps, great travelling skills, monster tracking ability.

you can refer here and decide which class is suitable for you smile.gif
http://lotro.mmorsel.com/2010/02/choosing-...-1-soloing.html
http://lotro.mmorsel.com/2010/02/choosing-...2-grouping.html

that website is really good for new player. it covered pretty much everything you need to know about this game.

so how's everyone doing in the middle earth?? still alive & kicking or Orcs food already tongue.gif

My burg just hit level 25 today, its been a slow & boring solo grind for the pass 1 month. Don't get me wrong the game is good, just that i cant get enough fellowship going on during playtime. I just join a kingship called Lord of the rings (duh) hopefully things improves.

i have not keluar any real money for the game yet..instead just relying on Turbine point offer like the Lone-Land quest pack which i got for 50 TB last week. Just the inventory limits bother me a lot..the rest i still can wait patiently.

Very much enjoying the game too, though the ping makes mob positioning etc a pain (and I'm a Champion). Trying to find a tunneling service if possible, but there doesn't seem to be any for LOTRO. Oh well.

you may try changing your DNS to google DNS.

Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
Alternative : 8.8.4.4

This eliminated my 1-2 second delay previously.. see if it works for you biggrin.gif

Aight, I tried that and it didn't really work. Is this correct?

Network Connections -> Local Area Connection -> Properties -> Internet Protocol -> Properties. Is this it?

Yup. If you are on wireless then should set it in the wireless properties and not Local Area Conn. Then would really suck smile.gif cant really raid properly if you are lagging behind like that as a few really requires timing and positioning >.<

Hi, I'm new to LOTRO and I've just gotten myself a MoM, thanks to the forum members here. Currently I'm on Dwarrowdelf server and it has mostly non asian players. Which server have the most asian, or preferably the most malaysian players, as it really sucks when you play alone while others gone to their bed....
