my Farimin moves back to my old Kin (Aurora Australis) to seek more group activities... felt lonely last couple of months...

my other toons are still in Adventurers Of Eriador... but i'll be on Farimin mostly.. just send a tell if you guys need help or want to organize group play...

As for me, I'm very buzy due to the upcoming holidays - CNY, Fed Day and a 4 day long weekend in the 1st week of Feb which is affecting my production schedules.

Guild has been quiet. Hardly anyone on atm. That said, I'm usually only on late nights or early mornings...

Problem is, everyone's at various levels now which makes it hard to group up. Perhaps we should sort out new alts and decide on a level cap so we all do certain instances/skirmishes on a regular basis.

E.G All level up to 20 and stop. Decide on a day to log on and group together to go 1-2 Skirmishes followed by a trip to Barrow Downs.

This is what I'm doing with some friends of mine. Most of us are parked at 20 waiting for the odd 1 - 2 that doesn't have the free time to play to get to 20. In the mean time we play other alts or kit each other up with crafted items until they catch up and go through a few missions together. Once that's completed, we move on to the next cap for the next instance etc...

Currently we have a band of Guardian, Captain, Champ and Minstrel. (Still waiting on the guardian levelling up - He's been busy)

oh... personally i think that's not the actual problem Jal. the real problem is when people have gone MIA, especially the mid-level ones. most people who were with us when the Kin was created have not been online for more than 1 months. when that happens, those who are regularly online will feel very lonely, and one way to overcome that is to get to the max level as soon as possible and join the fun there where it is more lively...

aha.... i know a way that can get us multi-level players play together. by doing deeds ! slayer deeds i mean. that way we can sort of have fun killing while chatting. i have few slayer deeds that need to be done for virtue, and i think i can bring along Souzin/Marvelx and perhaps you. currently i'm doing Eregion dunlending slayer deed for Honor virtue. pm in game if you want to join.

having said that, i have alts at level 50 and 23... your idea of parking an alt at certain level is good, coz we can play various classes, at different level. i'll get my tank Khuldan to lvl 25 and park there...

and if you decide to level up, come come.. tanks are most welcomed up here... hehe...

One thing very unsual for me with Lotro though...I've had the game since early access and I've yet to get any of my toons to cap

On every single other games I've played I usually rush for the end game. Not much for lotro, very quite felt the urge to do that and I just switch between alts/crafts regularly. Think it's mostly due to the lack of proper PvP. PvM just doesn't make an impact in the world of Eriador. Plus based on the storyline you kind of know how it all ends so whatever you do won't influence the world much

*sigh* Times like these I wish daoc was still popular...

just installed the game >.< ask my wife to download it at her office. so, which server should i join? any synopsis of role for each class?

hunter - like archer laaa, ranged dps, also can lay trap for crowd control

champion - melee dps, can also off-tank

guardian - mainly function as tank for a group, can also do dps when soloing....

burglar - debuff enemy, do damage via crit/stealth hit , though their main function is as the fellowship maneuver initiator ....

minstrel - mainly healer, buffer and can also do amazing damage when soloing/grouping

captain - support class, mainly do buffs, can also do support dps and also off-tank

lore-master - can do magical ( or tactical as we call it in lotro ) damage, although their main function is as crowd cotrol support class... they have pet !

rune-keeper - main function is as tactical dps; also can act as secondary healer in a group...

warden - usually work as tank



i think that's about it. did i miss anything ? in lotro, each class can work in 3 different modes depending on situation and your preferred style of play....

and oh yeah, with THIS NEWS came up, it seems that i may need to level up my alts before the expansion come out.. lol

i'm done installnig the game but when i try to run it, it says there is a problem with .net framework thingy. anybody know how to solve this?
