hi guys,
im totally new to home entertainment and dont have much knowledge on tis.
got some questions here.hope u guys help me.

recently i moved to new apartment..and bought samsung plasma 42" with home theater system...
applied to astro b.yond..the installer guy came and checked said that my apartment is centralized with astro so he cudnt fix HD dish outside my apartment unit..(i've checked with maintenance office as well,they didnt allow me to dril or fix any HD dish)..so the astro installer connect HD decoder to my plasma TV with normal component and left..
then i called astro cancelled my HD package,subscribed normal package only..
now whenever i watch normal chanels the quality is very so & so only...thought a HDMI cable connection might help,so i bought a HDMI cable and connected HDMI frm astro HD decoder to my plasma TV..i didnt get any signal wen i change source..
pls help me explain how to set up..

well if hd requires a different dish then i think its impossible

usually astro will change your byond box to normal box when you cancel your HD service, I am surprised astro let you keep the byond box

anyway, you need to call astro to activate HDMI on your byond box to use the port

you may have to reinstate your HD service before astro can activate HDMI for you, but try to call them anyway, tell them your HDMI is not working


about your dish, if you have west facing window in your flat, you can try installing your own dish facing the window

got friend who need some drilling to his apartment last year!
same case, he's not allowed to do that!

but somehow, he manage to convince the apartment management to get some drilling work with some extra charge!
your beyond dream might not finish yet!
