I'm really curious to see if the future Nokia mass market ship saver has a chance against its quickly evolving rivals. Unlike Eldar Murtazin (the now famous Mobile-Review guy) though, I'm quite positive about the future of Symbian as I have a soft spot for Nokie and Symbian and (actually) really want them to succeed.

What to do, when I was younger I always wanted Psions - and now Symbian is all that's left (Symbian is the direct descendant of the EPOC OS that ran on the Psions - quick trivia for those who even know what I'm talking about lol).

So, any chance with that hor fun offer Aspire?

Like you I always have faith in Nokia.Even though sometimes they produce "questionable" product like N97 or X6,they did deliver some of the great stuff like N900,N95 & even 3310.
By now they should have done enough experiment with Maemo & with Intel's backup they should be able produce a good smartphone to beat iPhone & iOS.
If you can come to Melaka I can let you play with mine for long time 

I've said this before,yes symbian is not exactly a smartphone OS but it can perform well & most of the time will get the job done.

* (new)proximity now requires holding on for two seconds to activate the lfocus dialog
* (old)fixed stop RLED toggle button and made it always off, so it needs to be turned on by the user only when taking a video
* (old)fixed led remember state button and made it always off, so it needs to be turned on by the user only when taking a video
* (old)lfocus is now optified
* (old)fixed the problem with keyboard led shortcuts not syncing with the buttons
* (old)the lfocus dialog can now be turned on by using the proximity sensor instead of tapping the screen and clicking on the logo
* (old)added a new row of toggle buttons for (remember led state when capturing)(auto turn off red led when capturing)(timer red led blinking)

Try restart your device; If you tried to play a incompatible video with the default media player and get this error message, then somehow this error keeps repeat even if you tried playing other media files;

Most (if not all) phone video cam does not have autofocus function during live recording. Even in digital cameras, this feature is usually not supported; Thus when you record video, the focus is fixed and if you need to focus somewhere far or near, you need to stop recording and start another recording.

LiveFocus simple gives you the ability to adjust the focus manually during video capture. Previous version I tried was unstable and causes crash issue during video recording, and I hate the stupid menu which activates via proximity sensor.  I've uninstalled it until the developer do a proper version and also for user to define whether the want to use the proximity sensor to activate the menu.
