Very very smooth.I used the same OC profile I used in Maemo(500-850MHz).I'm using Toshiba Class 4 4GB MicroSD only but the performance is very impressive.
Anyway v0.0.8 will automatically OC NITDroid to 700Mhz.Whether you want extra "umph",it's your choice.

The whole system visual effect working really great.I can see why people likes Android.Though comparing the OS power Maemo wins hands down.

Hm I am wondering how you guys succeed to take like only focus at 1 object while the rest is all blur been trying it again and again but still fail already set AF point but when taking it it still appear to be normal photo..

We also can do it with manual focus, by adjusting the focus distance manually.

In FCam, when you choose Manual Focus mode, bottom have a bar, you can choose the most left to get the closest distance of focus, which is really near (I think the default camera unable to achieve this).
The result will be very nice close-up shot with nice blur background.

The goal of NITDroid has always been to used alongside Maemo.Not to replace it.
Most probably by installing NITDroid in eMMC means making a special partition & dual boot with Maemo.

Now that NITDroid installation is over time for me to mess around with fcamera.

If only N900 have 512MB RAM we can pwn any android phone anytime.Overclocked ARM Cortex A8 really can keep up with all the latest apps.Only thing is lack of RAM cannot be compensated.We don't notice this much in Maemo though.

So far my NITDroid experience been fun.I just hope the team will continue to enhance lots more functions once all the basic functions covered.

I've having some trouble with fcamera because of my heavily modified kernel.
I should be able to fix everything & get the apps up & running by tonight.
Anyway,how do you save the pictures of fcamera in jpeg files?
Software brick always possible.This can be fixed with reflash.
Hardware brick with NITDroid,I don't think it's possible.
Again we should revisit how many hardware wise bricked N900 here.Almost none(you guys should know the single case by now)
Even in Maemo Talk forum there are very few cases.

I have the ringtone problem with the N900 when you select a mp3 out of your own albums in the profilemenu it sounds clear, but when you get a incoming call, it sounds strange, a clipping sound.
and how higher the ringtonevolume in the profilemenu, the lower the clipping sound is, but is not completly gone.

Tis problem is also with the standard ringtones/alarmtones but you have to listen very carefully, the reason why you almost don't hear it with the standaard tones is because they lack of bass and beat.

But the problem is also with the standard tones.

Are there more people with this problem and somebody a solution for this problem?

and does this mean that the N900 can't even play a normal mp3 song as a ringtone without Clipping/distortion?

a rookie tutorial for fcam 'bokeh' effect

to have incredible 'bokeh' effect, we should manually choose the 'focus' point.. sometimes 'point' is not working for certain situation..but if you do the focus manually, you find out you actually can control the focus yourself and you will see the result on the spot..
when we click 'manual', there is a long bar which left side indicates '5cm' whilst right side show '>5m'
well..let's take a example..put a phone in front of vase..
so when we wanna focus on the phone, we should drag the reading to '5cm' as short as possible.. while when we wanna focus on vase which behind of N900..we should make the reading far from'5cm' but not neccesary '5m'..this is depending on the distance between your N900 and the object..
But one thing to notice is if your phone is put far from N900, even when you adjust the reading to '5cm'..there are still both phone and vase in blurred image..

pratical is always better than theoretical.. try it now..hehe

Mine also is Zitron set..

It just have the sound "plak plak plak" when the ringtone is ring..

But the weird part is~~ if play in the media player.. and the volume run to highest also won't have such  "plak plak" sound.. Just the ringtone only.. like as what stated in the Nokia forum, I thought all is the same..

So your suggestion is take back to Nokia center to check?
