have any of you encounter sms not in proper arrangement?? earlier all my latest incoming sms was on top of the list but now all in random very difficult to track my sms.  rclxub.gif

Do you know that the SMS is in threaded conversation mode, therefore when you send a message you'll bring the conversation up I think.

Well, not many ppl know about tap and hold, when in doubt tap and hold on something. Just remember that tap and hold is like the right click for phones, so just like in windows where u right click to see more function. U tap and hold on the phone.

Video supported formats:
Playback:.3gp, .3g2, .mp4, .m4v, .mbr., .wmv (Windows Media Video 9 and VC-1)
Recording:.mp4
*
Note that if you copy your video files through Zune it's pretty certain that it'll reencode the video to WMV, unless it has some very specific parameters which I am not sure of.

see here for details.

Hmm.. have you uploaded any videos to the phone through zune yet? if you haven't then just grab a wmv (or make one using windows live movie maker or something) and drop it through zune, then see if the folder is there or not.

Automatically loaded ALL my hotmail contact into phone - I dont want 700+ contacts in my phone. No way of limiting it.
*
Main problem is because our Live ID happens to hold our IM contacts as well, all the phones are doing this now. Apple with their cloud service, Google with GMail integration. Yes, it sucks that ours it's a horrid mess because unlike with apple or google. IM lists tend to have more people we don't really care about.

QUOTE(hanissyazwan @ Jan 14 2011, 03:27 AM)
HD2 uses Windows Mobile 6.5, using MyPhone to backup phone. Cant restore contacts to new WM7 phone. Cant Bluetooth them. Wont receive them as emails. Cant sync with Outlook. Cant store them on a SIM card as many ofthem are too big. So, no way of deleting contacts fro phone without deleting from Hotmail. No way (at present but being looked into by Samsung according to a call recently) of moving my 200+ contacts from HD2 to a WM7 phone.
*
Activesync from HD2 to Outlook, then use Outlook Hotmail Connector to copy contacts to the LiveID linked to your phone.

then just reset the phone and attach a new primary live id then, or delete all live id contacts from your current account

Just a question, how do u guys survive without bluetooth file transfer?

You're refereing to transferring files between phones locally right? I guess it's important for some people. I'm not one of those ppl though.

Dont know about the model number thing, but your map one is caused by the fact that the region setting is not one of the supported countries anymore.

Set phone region (Settings -> Region & language) , you'll see a whole bunch of lists with countries in them, I think just changing system locale, and browser search to US or UK would do. But change everything just to be sure. tongue.gif you'll need to restart the phone after changing it.

thanks alot bro. maps prob solved.

FYI i called htc support n they asked me to do a hard reset to get the maps work again. told me dun worry coz all the contacts n stuff are backed up in email but they dunno how to get the contacts back to phone after reset.
so weird.

I think it's best you learn how and where the phone stores data backup on your own(if any, depending on what service you use) Don't trust support for anything you didn't personally setup. ie. Did you actually setup any sort of backup service? Contacts are synched only if you were retrieving it from a Windows Live account, or a compatible exchange sync supported service like GMail or Mobile Me .etc. etc.
