Hi guys I need some help here
I am using HTC desire 2.2(official)
I have problem using the google voice search with voice action,
I try to use it as a voice dialer
when I speak "call rudy" the option it gives me is like "rudy's restaurant" "rudy's car repair"
but it doesnt let me select the "rudy" from my contact list...

anyone know how to solve this? thanks

Did you use "Voice Search" or "Voice Dialer" (not sure what is the difference, but I always use voice Dialer for...erm...voice dialing lol)

Anyway, sometimes it may be due to Asians pronunciation which is different

Try Vlingo from market if you really need the voice dialing function

I am using voice search downloaded from google website,
it suppose to call a contact by speaking "call xxxxxx"

where can I download the voice dialer u mention?

If you say call zzz and other zzz appears it shows is working. It could be your pronunciation. You can also recheck whether google voice is installed? Launch it and it will prompt you to sign in with your gmail account. If your google account is not enabled you have to signup at google.com/voice

THis is how it works if working normally : Eg - i launch voice search. I say " CALL Robert Lee ". The phone will auto dial the default number. If your pronunciation is inaccurate you will be prompted with a list of names close to Robert Lee and the list will have CALL in front of the names

Actually to use the voice action features, you need to practice with the phone. In the beginning, I spend about half an hour experimenting , now the phone can capture all my voice calls, navigate, sms, email etc close to 100 % accuracy. Normally I use the voice feature for sms , nowadays seldom write. Write only to edit some errors. You need to speak slow and clear and if you have any strong accent it will be a problem
