QUOTE(Lurker @ Sep 4 2010, 07:05 PM) wanna add a question, MKV formats can only output via hdmi? Nope necessary, the output depend on the media player. Some media player have the RCA connection - red, white and yellow output for old CRT.i have some mkv files that i wanted to play on a CRT TV once in awhile during get togethers |

QUOTE(Lurker @ Sep 4 2010, 11:09 PM) but it will be downscale to 480i/480p/576i/576p whichever the highest res ur CRT TV support if u planning to use CRT only, then better stick to those *.avi media files would be sufficient. U can save those precious HDD space... This post has been edited by zerorulez: Sep 4 2010, 11:31 PM |

QUOTE(zwanvedder @ Aug 31 2010, 04:06 PM) after upgrade to the laterst firmw, my wdtv Live cannot play certain mkvs..quite dissapointed thou...so dont choose wdtv, think to jumpship to AcRyan.. You can always downgrade to the older firmware. btw, did you upgrade to the beta firmware or the full release? I know wdtv live last firmware was Release 1.02.21 dated (3/30/10) and was working perfectly with all mkv. Try the brad custom firmware. Its so much better and it even support moviesheet. |
