LOL...ignore him la

I think battery life has been great since updated to Froyo. But I'm using a custom tweaked ROM (yes, I'm a nerd using a custom ROM...) and I've no problem with using it for 2 days

Not sure about the official stock HTC though

i think froyo will be less battery consuming. coz i have a n1 with 3G turn on whole day vs my gf desire 2.1 without data plan means she turn off 3G the whole time. but both of us get roughly the same use time with 1 charge. not to mention i also play with my phone more if compare to hers... hope this help...

will need some time to see whether desire got any battery improvement after update to froyo. go go FROYO

Yeah, I would like to know more feedback after you guys updated to Froyo... how long can one charge last with normal settings... I'm considering the Desire... but read reviews of the battery life makes me hold back for now...

dats not true. battery capacity rating may be de same but de life primarily depends on quality of battery materials and more importantly, software implementation.
android machines prior to firmware 2.1 had notoriously short battery life and normal users had to learn how to disable task notifications, backgnd apps, etc to squeeze juice to last more den half a day. (disregard de fact dat disabling functions bring less value 2 ur purchase of a smartphone).

let's see if firmware 2.2 wld make it more tolerable.

Might be that you're not having T-Mobile sim card ? tongue.gif

Actually T-Mobile HAVEN't release FroYo for their set.

Stop the synchronization of those programs. Settings -> Accounts & Sync. Find news and stock and disable auto sync.

Activate wifi and get connected to the network. Once done head to settings>>about phone>>system software updates>>CHECK NOW
Wait till the download is done and you're good to go.
