I was thinking of buying an 3DS to play HeartGold and SoulSilver. But I'd like to have some pokemons which are only obtainable via trading such as scizor gengar etc etc... Do i need cable and 2 3DS to start trading??

(I have no idea how the lastest version of nintendo works, the last nintendo product i bought was a GBA..)
