For me, I bought a Nintendo DS Lite [Brand New] which cost me RM 400,
and Pokemon Soul Silver costs RM 140
Total Price RM 540 [Regular Customer gets good discount happy.gif]

Nintendo DSi, not much features is used for Pokemon sad.gif, and I want the GBA slot [Which the Nintendo DS Lite has] in case I have a Pokemon GBA game. biggrin.gif

I'll buy a Nintendo 3DS [US] once it comes out + Black/White Version.

Where did you buy your ndsl and pokemon game? Online or at a shop? Of shop, mind telling me which shop. Coz I'm planning to buy too and play pokemon heartgold, but so hard to find store that sell original games.

I still haven't defeated red... not enough spare time... xp

I usually fell asleep randomly when i Play pokemon... nearly drop my DS twice...

I fell asleep during elite four once... next thing i know my ds was gone from my hand... It turned out to be under my back... Weird...


starter for Soulsilver are the johto starter, cyndaquil[fire] who look like a mouse... Totodile a water crocodile and a leaf dinosaur chikorita..

I have no clue what an idle starter is. So i just randomly answer to my liking. The strongest physical is Totodile,useful in late game to slay dragons.

Cyndaquil is the special sweeper. Chikorita is cute

no in my opinion. Totodile the water is the best to deal with pesky dragons due to some ice move.

But then again... you can always find another Ice pokemons...

So you can always pick anything you like... If you like, you can choose cyndaquil then I can give/trade you Totodile and Chikorita smile.gif

The Nintendo DS Lite is a good price, by the way if you're buying the Game card [ Pokemon Soul Silver / Heart Gold ] Make sure you get the game in a box with the Pokewalker, because usually without the Pokewalker, the game is fake sad.gif

The water starter Totodile is the best, it can perfectly sweep Elite 4 in the middle of the game, perfect type coverage. Chikorita is like Hard Mode of the game...

Rm200+ Pokemon can already buy the limited edition version already o_o

Adult version of Pokemon. 18+ rated. That's the reality with real Pokemon.

Basically the same thing, only these are different. I don't use my Pokewalker coz I don't walk around and I don't want to lose it somewhere else or left in the washing machine.

All Pokemon HG/SS comes standard with the Pokewalker.

Now that I got my other DS back, perhaps it's time for me to start transferring my Pokemon from Diamond to SoulSilver and start training. xD

hehe. you can shake the pokewalker like digivice, but you need a special kind of shake. You can also clip it fo a tan blade but you will need to do it carefully so it won't fly out of your window...

But some people call that cheating... but i read that if you want to get to the last rute... it would be the same as if you walk from england to italy...

Once you got your first badge in the game, go to the Pokemon center's basement and a NPC will give you a 'Pal Pad', once you got that talk to the left side of the npc to go online to get your own Friend Code number.

Got wifi union room, is the middle one, local trade use c gear to trade, can trade from box as well, nonit to bring them to your party, if you guys at kl that playing black and white want to organize a meet up to trade and such, I have no problem with it tongue.gif

only the IR have the option for trade/battle... wifi c-gear cant trade/battle...

Croconaw with Crunch one shot ghost types. Learns at lv30.

If you use the croc starter, don't give him Surf, he's built for physical attacks. He needs Waterfall / Aqua Tail later in the game.

Friend or Ally
2. What helps you to win battles?
Strategy
3. What kind of Trainer do you wish to battle?
Strong
4. What is most important for raising Pokemon?
Love
5. Strong Pokemon. Weak Pokemon. Which is more important?
Both

That should result in him giving you the ExtremeSpeed Dratini. Awesome! As long as he didn't cough and glance off to the side at any point, that means you'll have gotten it. Otherwise, reset (assuming you saved before taking the test) and try again.

You can get your Dratini as soon as Clair has given you TM59 (Dragon Pulse) on your way out of the Dragon's Den — after she gives it to you, come back and talk to the elder with an empty spot in your team.

return to the den next time with an extra party slot. you can always soft reset to get the dratini with the desired gender/nature or maybe a little IV control. though i just use it to breed moar extremespeed dratini

I just bought some of these game figurines while shopping for some Pokemon movies, but I'm not sure if they are legit or bootleg, coz if bootleg, the quality is awesome. I had done a lot of research on these long long ago, and people cannot confirm whether they are real or fake. I do believe they are bootlegs by the simple packaging and price.

I dunno actually, the figure can spin and there is an arrow to determine what kind of move will be used. I mainly want to collect the figurine, RM5 each. Some people say these are the 'test prints' of the official ones, coz bootleg cannot be this beautiful and flawless, the paintings on the eyes especially, so flawless. I inspect them for a long time before paying. They are called Trading Game Figure.

They are at least more flawless than the Lugia figurine from the pre-order SoulSilver. Now I regret for not taking the Heracross, Machamp and the Swellow too.

I wonder why I cannot find eng-sub for DP series streaming, like that I cannot watch the anime smoothly, there are many many episodes that I can't watch. Chinese-subs are there, but I can't read chinese. Even chinese-sub for Best Wishes is way faster than eng-sub. Sucks.

I only have DP episode 1 to 10, then King of Pokeathlon, Johto Festa, and then the last contest matches and the last gym battle until the end. And these already fully occupied my hard-disk, together with some movies.

The Kanto ones, I only watched a bit when my cousin watched the chinese-sub, and she roughly explains what happens there. I say no to eng-dub.

The Pokemon Ranger, Wave-guiding Riolu dvd I bought sucks, it's cheaply translated by some random n00b translator, I think he doesn't even know Japanese, even fans' translating work is by far better than a person who works for money. Luckily the other DP movies I bought are not like this. Now I can't wait for the Zorark movie eng-sub.

that is bcoz DP haven been fully translated... only after episode 100+ then only got sub... i cant read chinese so dun care...

I'm a remembered correctly, Pokerus spreads by battling, the chance of finding an infected Pokemon with Pokerus 1:6000+/- or something, and the infection works by using a physicial attack. If you use special attacks it won't be spread. If you obtained a Pokerus Pokemon store it in the PC Box, and other pokemon in the same box will be infected as well :I

how about those in the party? just now when i playing my SS,suddenly nurse joy told me that my pokemon got infected... tongue.gif
then when i check,my pigeotto n jirachi oledi got infected... i want it to infect another useless pokemon for keeping in pokebox... but try walking/battling wild pokemon a while still does not infected my rest of the party pokemon... sad.gif

Does the pokewalker work/connect only with the original version of the game?

The original cartridge for HeartGold/ Soulsilver are equipped with infrared transmitter to communicate with the Pokewalker.

So the answer is yes.

u can play pokemon SS/HG on ndsl... no need 2 get ndsi... save the money for 3ds... in term of the game,both r the same except different version u would get different pokemon...

I'm looking for a cheap 2nd hand white dsl, but no one posted on the WTS forum haha.

if not, I'll get dsi, I can get it around the same price as new dsl.

Most Pokemon revisions are improvements on the base game. Some of them can also be quite different from the original (Pokemon Yellow).

Besides, Nintendo isn't really ripping off anyone's money. You can choose to buy it or ignore it.

u migbt need to spent sometime around the sale corner to look for 1... n if u not mind getting a new 1,then u can always choose dsi... as for dsi,at the moment,there is not many game that worth to get(at least to me)... n oso,u must make sure wat region dsi u getting as dsiware r region specific... to top on that,3ds oso can play dsiware but it dont have GBA slot...

WHAT. How is this well made? When I first saw this months ago, I was absolutely horrified. Horrible acting, none of the actors look alike. bad cgi (low budget, I understand, it doesn't have to look realistic, but at the very least it should look like the the original characters. pikachu looks like it's half-dead starving. Absolutely appalling.

This is an absolute disgrace to pokemon.

I thought all DS games can be played both on dsi and ds xl? Or at least, that's what I read, but I'm not sure. I think they were referring to original games. Which dsi ware is the most compatible? How do you check which version it is? I'm getting mine from US. Can it work?

What does the GBA slot do? So far, from what I know is it plays gba games, it's not really a problem with me because I don't own any gba games.
All I need is memory card right?

Yes... all* DS game can be play on DSi...
but DSi spesific game such as photo show down... system flaw... cant be play on DSl....
due to the requirement of the camera...
about the region specific.... all game are playable on the DSi for DS game... but DSiware and DSi specified DS game only playable on the specific region console.... US play US version of game... Jap console play ONLY jap version of game...
Dsiware are link to regional DsiShop server which makes some of the dsiware are exclusive to certain region...

The gba slot in DSl are function as adapter for some game... eg... guitar heroes-guitar grip....Music on- keyboard, and others.... or exchange of pokemon from older version to platinum, pearl, diamond, gold and silver from gba version of pokemon....

It's not too late, HG/SS it's a great game. I play it mainly because of nostalgia, never know I'll become obsessed with Pokemon.

I'm scared of the Crawdaunt from Battle Tower, it's always equiped with Quick Claw and most of the time the Quick Claw works! I'm totally f*cked when it comes in.

Welcome~~

the numbers is known as Friend Code(FC) which functions like an ID you use for getting online. For example, when me and you register each other's FC, when we get online we can see and interact with each other(battle, trading, etc). To obtain the your own FC, simply go to the basement of pokecenter to get the item Pal Pad and connect to the wifi once.

2) yes, you can by using the wifi connection. The connection setting can be done before you load your game. Btw, the encryption of your router has to be set as WEP to allow the DS to connect to it.

3)If you could connect to the wifi, select the mystery gift option before you load your game and select receive gift.

4)you can try looking for some game shops if you intend to get them from GBA catridge via pal park. You can receive 1 of the them from Prof Oak when you completed the game. The simplest way is to ask someone to trade breed one to trade to you. Breeding an egg is quite simple as ditto can always be the parent.

Im sorry if my answer is pretty vague as im not used to answer this type of question....

I watched a video on Youtube on how to EV train lv1 Pokemons, but I can't find it anymore, it's the best tutorial video.

Give the Lv 1 Pokemon the Power Item, encounter a wild Pokemon that gives it the wanted EV. Then switch into a stronger Pokemon with moves that has high PP, finish off that wild Pokemon. The baby will get the full EV from the kill, it doesn't have to land the killing blow.

Last pokemon I play with a console, which is my GBA is Fire Red. That was about 2 years back. Then after my GBA died, I opt playing it using emulator. But it seems that the emulator for DS is not completely perfect till now. and I just stop playing it...

after read what you guys write here, I'm thinking bout buying a console. So, what do you guys suggest? and what game should I play first. The only game I play with my past GB is pokemon. I never play any other game in the nintendo platform.

well u can find 2nd hand dslite for maybe around 300
and pokemon heartgold or soulsilver for rm150 and pokemon platinum for rm130 if u buy it from kyoyagami smile.gif

rm500 is enough to buy a new ndsl plus something u need to play the *ahem* game... so it is enough for u to start play back pokemon...

DS Lite has GBA Slot while DSi doesn't, furthermore certain games like Pokemon Black and White is a DSi Enchanced Game meaning it's playable on any DS Lite on any region but since it's a DSi Enhanced Game it only work with the same region where the DSi comes from example like the current black and white are from Japan, hence it only works with only a DSi from Japan and not USA while it can work with any DS Lite from any region. And DSi has cameras while DS Lite does not.

im gonna get ds/3ds next year when black and white english are out.

I remembered my almost perfect iv tyranitar, took a long time to breed.My fren said waste of time, until I sweep clean all his pokemons with tyranitar alone...lol
breeding most frustrating is to hatch....nid to walk around, and some pokemons really take their own sweet time to hatch, just to get some lousy ivs vmad.gif
all my rare candies are complimentary of zigzagoon...lol

hurm... don't know if it apply to the older version as well... but I bring along magmar or the lava snail to hatch egg... their ability make the steps need to hatch 1/2 less...

Finally get to set my router to WEP mode after trying for 1 hour, seems like i mistaken the open and shared network. Now i can play once again! xD

Hmm... I'm going to play BW slowly.. maybe play it until trading is available then ask around for the mid-game as well as late-game pokemons.. like the seasonal deer,buffalon,the fire anteater... Would be great if I can bring them along when doing the story..

Hope someone here can help me do that..

Why settle for GBA while you can play all the newest Pokemon games on the DS? You can find cheap GBA/ DS in our Garage Sales (Games) section. As for guide/ walkthroughs there are plenty of them on the net for example gamefaqs.com.

3ds fyi is priced at 249 usd i think, and when it reaches m'sia, i would consider lucky if the market price it at rm 800++

games i heard is going for 120usd each

release date late march, early april...dunno if preorder can get it earlier or not...=)

oh, and to answer your ds question:

3 types"

ds phat - the fat ds (the 1st model)
ds lite (the slim version)
dsi - this one has 2 camera's to track your face and also, it connects to the internet for a feature known as the ds shop (as in, u can purchase ds virtual stuffs like games)...also, there are games that the dsi supports but not the ds lite and phat...in addition, there are region locks found on the dsi but not the other 2 versions...it's also the more exp one of the other 2 as well, phat being the cheapest, oh, and u can't play gba games on this (dsi) version but u can on the other 2 versions

I suggest you get the version you preferred the most, for example if you like Zekrom, pick White version or vice-versa.

They'll probably will make the Ruby & Sapphire remake sometime around 2013 and perhaps will featured walking Pokémon behind trainer.

What turned me off is how Ash becomes a n00b again like in the first generation. After so many epic battles in the end of DP, he can still lose to a newbie in BW. So disappointing, so I only go for the game, not the anime anymore. yawn.gif

hmm,i tot ask was a noob for every new season... i mean at the begining of AG n DP,ash is noob like just throw the pokeball without weaken the pokemon/etc...

BW were released in Japan on Sept. 23 2010 and will be release in Europe and North America on March 4th and March 6th 2011, respectively.
