if heartgold u can use the GTS glitch to evolve ur kadabra..try google it

I'm just wondering, if I trade new pokemons from white/black into the older version e.g. HeartGold, SoulSilver etc, will it work? What about battles and new moves?

you cannot transfer pokemon from 1st and 2nd Gen to newer gen3,gen4 and gen5..but all pokemon from 1st gen is available in pokemon firered and leafgreen and 2nd gen is available in heartgold and soulsilver so there should be no problem transferring them to pokemon black and white

Alright, so transferring pokemons from older versions to newer is fine. But what about battles? Can old battle new versions?
