QUOTE(hazairi @ Oct 26 2010, 05:19 PM) nt really a fan of random team as u will have bad teammates...when i was under atk, they rather siege up at their base than sending army over to cover me... even had temmates who cannon wall their base LOL Added on October 26, 2010, 6:17 pm3v3 and 4v4 is more about rushing as the attacker always have the advantage... and most of ur skills in 1v1 cant be transfered over as the mechanics are so different... QUOTE(hazairi @ Oct 26 2010, 06:23 PM) exactly.. lol if only they listened...for me in random team games, u hv to communicate.. it's better for me to get lower league players in my team, as they are easy to listen on my plan.. and the map u played also played an important role on doing a strategy.. sometimes when u got attacked with combined armies from opponent, is not a good idea to ask ur teammate to help u if your team don't have dat much army.. usually i'll ask them to let me die and concentrate on teching up and accumulate their armies and i'll just play with my overlord wandering around as a scout. i asked for a retreat they still move in and die losing all their army... i asked for a timing push as i scouted vulnerability (i'm the only 1 that scouted as well anyways) and they decided to turtle their army in their base asking for a scan is like trying to get them to send me 10000 minerals at times... i would rather play wit my frens who know how to complement each other's play and not doing silly stuffs... usually i top the scores but to see my team loose due to their unwillingness to follow the team... |

QUOTE(slickz @ Nov 16 2010, 06:23 PM) Sauce : http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Battle.net_Leagues after practice leagues there's ranking in divisions...yes I just asked uncle google. I just don't fully understand the formulas, why pick 12? and why is it -/+ 12? if you lose, you lose 12 points? Do you get to see how many points you have? I just bought the game and did not skip the practice league, I still have 14 games left to play before I enter the placement matches so I don't know what it's like after practice league yet. that's wut the points are for... when u get to the real games after the practice leagues (and 5 placement) u will understand =p |

QUOTE(Grimm @ Dec 29 2010, 05:57 PM) I notice some of the top bronze/silvers playing like a plat. Their macro definitely on par with a plat. Only thing they dunno is timing pushes. Dang.. if I didn't know better, I would've lost to all these players >_< well this is true...some of the bronze players i know can beat some diamond i've met with ease... just that now its harder to climb up ladder compared to the early diamonds when the game is up... another reason was the lack of confidence in their play when they see they are in bronze/ silver/ gold... |

QUOTE(Grimm @ Dec 29 2010, 07:29 PM) @Aeco yup that's y i always push my frens to have confidence...That's so true. They lack confidence sometimes. Just like me. I've rested my 1v1 since last month at silver. Now i've hit plats in 4v4 and 3v3, I'm going into 1v1 again, much more confidence. I think confidence plays a big role in teaching you when to do pushes. Sometimes I keep thinking that the enemy is hiding a tonne of forces in his base, so I can't push in. After losing and watching the replay, I realised he had only 2 stalkers and 2 cannons left... and I had a 50 food army. @SiewKaiz Yup. Especially when stalkers are defending behind buildings with a better range than roaches. some of them are in bronze but their skill level is definitely plat at least... with the lack of confidence, they panic very fast with the false sense of behind behind after an attack etc when they are leading or in fact even... again, watching day9 is a good way to improve |

dun be afraid of losing, u learn a lot by losing...
if u are that afraid jz go custom games... while u might loose confidence when u customed wit really good players, u will gain so much more that when u go back to ladder its pretty much ez... |
