The 1st 12mp android has to be a candybar or it's gonna be one heck of a thick phone. It's either the phone is thicker or the camera is crappy

High megapixel for a cameraphone is pointless. They need to pack more processing power into its sensor rather than the MP jump.

thr's absolutely nothing to be excited abt.

quality of picture depends on sensor size and not megapix count. it also depends on de image processing hardware/software.

now, de trend for cameras is low-light performance. of course.

no matter how large megapixels it is..the camera phone is just an alternative camera for me..just snap a documentation thing and that's enough..if you wanna snap a brilliant dslr-like pictures, you can save your budget for so call most expensive gsm phone with back-illuminated sensor and get a canon, nikon, sony instead..

LOL @ the agorydems tongue.gif

Yeah, I agree that the megapixels of the camera is nothing to shout about (neither is everyone else really got excited about it...with probably the exception from the thread starter since he used this as topic title)

But little is known about this model, it could be just rumor. And the picture TS posted is totally different with the one I saw in the link he posted... so nothing much to discuss unless things are confirmed

Any proof kentang? Don't just create humble mumble here and there..

This kind of rumors are just wanna make the market hotter and really demanding..
As Nokia already came out with Carl-Zeiss 12MP camera to their N8, then why not other manufacturer feel the heat and try it out? hmm.gif

I think iphone 4 has really improve its camera. But anywhere, here we are talking about HTC 12MP..
1 sentences. Won't happen until next year. And i'm not interested in any high MP camera phone. Even my 3.2MP SE K800i capture better image than my 5MP N79 and wildfire.

agreed, they should use better sensors rather than pushing megapixels.
