wow, only judging from the photo can differentiate 15' & 16'.

1 shop quoting a set of Weds Sport 16' replica rim @ RM 1,250 + 205/50/16 CC1 @ RM 230/pc

but i found that another 15' Weds sport replica also very nice, the 15' GY Assurance only cost RM 170+

2)Stock brake pads are softer than Sponge Bob. Recommendation is to change it to ceramic brakes. Better performance and lesser dust. Best Form Ceramic Nao cost just RM63 for a set of front pads. Can get from former Kelvin (if im not mistaken).
This 1 i 100% agree with you. The stock break pads only last me for Genting uphill + downhill X 2 (Too exited that time, busy potong all chap of vehicle except the famous tiga kayu). As a result the break pads kapuk within a single day.

But after changing a new break pads now no more dust already.

dude, could you please state what tire size you are using on 16 inch? Very nice rim design. I can't wait to change mine. I am aiming for 16 inch also instead of 17 inch due to various reasons.

AND, do you mind posting bigger sized pictures of it side ways (viewing the whole side of the car). Or mb email me at nhaixin69@yahoo.co.uk ?? I hope you don't mind smile.gif

Just to give you some rough idea:

16' rim - Chap ayam Taiwan made = RM 950 from mudah.com (but the shop in shah alam)
16' rim - Wedsport replica taiwan made = RM 1,200 to RM 1,300
16' rim - Oz sport replica taiwan made = RM 1,350 ++
16' rim - Chrome rim Taiwan made = RM 1,800++

There are many other model price above RM 2,000 but i dont pay much attention since it is out of my budget.

But do take note that there are approx. RM 230 additional charges on the steel valve, nuts, bolt etc etc.

If you decide to go for 17', choose your tyre width carefully otherwise it will sangkut at rear.

no problem, im using 16'' due to lot traveling in city..not much for long distance..if using 17" more power to move from static position. using auto with 1.6 summore blush.gif
its depend on user preference though.

nowsaday replica also got "Made in Japan" chop rclxub.gif

i also change to 16', but i think if you pay a nett price of RM 2,000, it is a bit on the high side.

The shop give me 2 option:

Package 1 - Wedsport replica 16' + 4 tyre Taiwan/China made 205/50/R16 = RM 1,470 + RM 230 (Steel valve/nuts/etc A+B) Total RM 1,700 only

The one i bought:

Package 2 - Wedsport replica 16' + 4 X Falken ZE 522 205/50/R16 = RM 1,670 + RM 230 (Steel valve/nuts/etc A+B) Total RM 1,900

If i go for Continental CC-1 195/50/R16 = RM 1,760.

Added on September 7, 2010, 6:53 pmPersonally i feel that i've pay a premium at rm 1,900 cry.gif

but at that point of time after survey in 4 shop for 2hr+, its too tiring to go elsewhere to bargain and have to throw in towel liao

err, 1 noob questions, proton give how many warranty to our car? i thought 3 years/50,000km?
*
not sure about yours, but mine only got 50,000km/24 months whichever come first. Check your service booklet.

I got some question here:

1) Anyone experienced on claiming warranty previously? Will they charge additional labor fee to replace faulty part? Previously i change the fuel lit and they do it for free. But this time i need some fix on the drive shaft and definitely it will take more time than changing a fuel lit.

The tricky part is my car just over 50,000km recently (55k now) and not sure whether can get away with it by nagging the service center.

I just found that the left side rubber ring (the one next to the big rubber gaiter) on the drive shaft has broken and causing the steering wheel aligning to left all the time.

2) How long your ori absorber last? Mine almost two years now. How to know if the absorber still working?

Also suspect the air-con gas is running low cause the air-con fan is spinning very frequent now...
