i think i need more time to "feel" it first before i can come out with conclusion.... so far .... my "experiment" results..arent tat consistent... haha

have u checked whether the car was accidently .... child lock.... if it is child lock.. passenger inside cannot open the door.. only from outside can... is a feature in cars (at least PE for sure has it)

If havent gone through ur 1k service.. perhaps u shouldnt rev too high ..... let the engine run in first ...
but oh ya.... do u guys know ..... for the 1st 1k.. proton give waranty for alignment and balancing as well as aircon
if ... alignment is out or balancing is out..... or aircon is not cold .... proton servicecenter will diagnose and if confirm.. they will fix it for u... reminder must be under 1k only
well this is not unique to proton... most car manufacturers (in malaysia....)provide this service....

i think is abit high.... i think some people discuss about it in previous thread.. try looking for it.... if memory is right...should keep it well below 4k or 3.5k rpm
hehe i personally.... try to keep it around 3k at most (anyway....fyi driving 2.5k rpm and 3.5k rpm....there is huge significance in fuel consumption... )

Added on October 25, 2010, 9:19 amyup agree.....the engine is still new ....still too "rough" ... it is said .. might introduce more .... wear on the engine if rev the engine high before...it is runned in (some car manufacturers dont need to.... but since proton also suggest to.... we should follow ... )

Haha i m in Juru Service Center pulak hahaha.. my car alarm went off last night not sure what's wrong.. sent there for repair...
btw since first service i bring my own lube... Shell helix is so cheap when tesco / carrefour has promotion haha

I think is fine.... 1st service i used Helix Hx7 .. (semi-synthetic)..cheaper (bought at carrefour) then petronas syntium 800 .. feels much lighter or quieter then before 1st service
2nd service.... i kasi hentam masuk helix ultra...(fully synthetic) ... i know people say waste.. cos just 5k.. nevermind laa... bought it quite cheap at tesco (rm139)... doesnt feel much difference though compare to semi synthetic.. but well.. if the facts and figures are right... is it at least 50% better then Hx7... so why not

Dont worry i m pretty sure they never steal ur engine oil.... jsut tat they really go pour all.. which might over flow abit

u might be wondering y i m so sure they pour all.. . cos i always curi intai them work on other cars ... when i m there...those using petronas synthium.. fuh... 1 hand terbalik the bottle... tuang all inside ... kautim..haha

magnet trap really tat useless?.... i rejected last time.. wondering should i ask for it in my next service.. heard people say... really if open up the oil filter.. can see more metalic stuff stuck in the filter..

wat r u waiting for.. bring a long list of complain to the service center on ur first service.... l

with this guidelines .. (from my own experience laa )

1) Routine service (change engine oil type ) .... plus 1 hour
2) Waiting time for ur car to be service .
.(if you are among the first few .. perhaps 3 or 5. depending on their numer of mechanics) - wait 30 minutes before they start to work on ur car
... if ur appointment is at around 10... then please expect to wait up to 1 hour before they start to work on your car ( some peopel car got more problem...they might take longer time solving them)
3) For every single complain u file... prepare to add 40 minutes to the service time...more complain more longer lorr u must wait ...

well.. these are just my personal expectation when i send my car go service in these branch ... ( went to 4 already so far....hahaha so far the rules of thumbs hold for me )

aiseh .. manual got... or go to ur car .. open ur driver side door.. look at the side .. it is pasted there
should be 210kpa(front) and 190kpa(rear)

2nd ... were u reversing....while turning..as in.. is ur PE back facing something diagonally?

well .. no harm asking them to check and repair for u....? my backseat sound problem was repaired by them
hmm icic.. i once had tat 2 different beep ... but tat time i was reversing diagonally...

however.. somehow i think might wanan get it installed during my 10k service.... been reading reviews on effectiveness on magnet on these oil filter.. seems to be thumbs up.... still considering

ignoring watever those service center people (cos if u ask them.. they sure ask u to come for 5k service even if u use fully synthetic) try to say.... anyone done it before.. and no problem with warantty?

i pad about rm15 only ..hehehe in my service since i bring my own lube...hehe
