Hi Guys,

Here's the details of my 40K major service

[attachmentid=1840360]
btw guys, how much does skimming a pair of front disc brake costs? I'm quoted RM80 for front pair, reasonable?

I wanted to change my brake pad to bendix metal king titanium but the person see my brake pad says still new ask why want to change. I told him since i changed to this new ceramic one, it has been making a lot of noise, especially during the morning. i also went to one workshop and they help me to smoothen and cut a bit of the brake pad surface before. It was ok a while after that but the noise came back not long after.
after he checks, he said my discs need skimming coz surface uneven d, so useless if change pads also. indeed, when i touch it with my fingers, can feel uneven also. he says need skim then change new pad only effective.

so now wondering if RM80 to skim the 2 front discs is reasonable and whether it will really solve the problem...

Check it out here..
http://www.zerotohundred.com/newforums/cha...d-lug-nuts.html

Normally 1 set of nuts (4nuts and 1 special key) cost around rm150-200 only.. Here the fella selling it quite expensive.. If u go spore buy it will be cheaper lah. rclxms.gif

Just need to substitute 1 of the nut on each wheel with this special nut.. But it will look weird with ur standard nuts lah.. So better u buy another set of normal flat headed chrome wheel nuts to match this safety nut. Tadah.. Peace of mind.. lol.. This type of safety nut is also safer cos other types of safety nuts that has a heptagon side can easily be opened nowadays. I have seen how these ppl curi rims.. But this type of nuts need the specific key then only can open.. rclxms.gif
Hope this helps.

For a more cheaper and nicer looking alternative, u can use this too,
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...031&hl=lug+nuts as long as the nut is long and protuding out.. so normal wrench dont have the depth to open it easily. A special long lug nut is needed to fit this type of racing nuts. I can see the head part is long and protuding out before it reaches the hexagon part.

It's possible that you did not format your SD card before installation. Pls format your SD card first, and do the installation again. It should work. smile.gif

Sorry about that. Your unit uses an older chipset and has a lower memory capacity. However, you can still download our latest maps. We have also made vast improvements on our maps.

the foglight got brackets which got bent due to the impact. Or probably broken already. If you are not intending to fix front lips body kit, that method i told u works also and pretty strong as well. They heat up the multiple hole drilled metal plate and fuse it into the bumper plastics joining it together.

See here... (my dad's Benz front bumper).

- yea i switched from MyVi to Persona too. It is true and obvious why Persona's seating is much lower as it is a sedan car. So, unfortunately answer is 100% NOPE. smile.gif
