For me, SC is not just a game but also a tool to stimulate your critical decision making.
Many aspects you can applicate such as your life management, risk management and money management and etc..

For example, in the game, you would have to decide r u going for early rush or going for macro, same as in life, whether u wanna set the goals for short term or long term.

Scouting ur enemy to eliminate risk is like taking knowledge on what you wanna invest on your real life money to reduce the risk.

In game, you have to decide which one is the best upgrade u should use and in real life u have to decide which thing u should buy first and organize the priorities.

And many more in-game examples that when you realize, u can relate it in your real life application..

What r ur thoughts guys? wink.gif

A funny reply from Callum in SEA forum..

QUOTE
At work I send my probe (ie, one of my team-members) out to do recon on where my boss is camped (ie, his office) and what he is up to.

If I see a forge (ie, he looks angry) and know he is going to rush me with a cheese move - (ie, come over and yell at me about something) which will result in me rage quitting... I go get a coffee and thus avoid losing my job, having to sell my house, etc.

Thank you SC2.

the most basic thing couldn't be apply in real life from SC II. lol
how do you build your scv to make money automatically for you in real life?
*
it's the concept that matters.

when u make scv, u hv to decide either to spend so much money investing on it to have a better economy in the future, or make a little scv and at the same time spend the money for marines in case u got ambushed.

U can relate in ur life, for example, do u wanna save ur money or use it a little bit for ur own good or for ur pleasure? or where should u invest it?
i mean, the concept is there, the decision making part..
But in SC2 u have to decide really2 fast.

Scouting ur opponent in sc2 is just like reading and studying alot of materials and news regarding where u wanna invest ur money in real life.. wink.gif
if u don't scout, u r playing in the dark, donno what will come to u..
if u don't study what u invest, u r investing in da dark..

In SC2, u hv to be ahead on the expo. If u see ur opponent expanding, u hv to sabotage it, or u hv to expand too, same as in real life especially in Malay culture. If u see ur opponent expanding his business but u still haven't, u have to become jealous and sabotage his business..

watching a replay in sc2 after a game is like recapping what have you done in life and trying to figure what went wrong in order to become a better person..
