QUOTE(FusioneX @ Jul 19 2011, 11:24 PM) Normal consumer straighteners can cost anywhere between RM20 (unbranded China ones from Mr.DIY, MYDIN, pasar malam) to RM120 (Philips) depending on the model and features (e.g. ceramic hotplate). Those used by saloons that comes with temperature control can set you back around RM300, according to a hairstylist whom I have chatted with. Thanks a lot. Will take a look at those places.

By the way, the your current hairstyle makes your head look round. I reckon it would be wise to trim the sides and get more volume on the top of your head (using hairstyling products such as wax, clay or fudge).

You will need to leave it up to the hairstylist to judge how short it should be since they know best what sort of hairstyles would complement your facial structures. As for your fringe, whether or not it needs to cover your forehead depends on how high your forehead / hairline is - if it is normal, it does not matter if you cut it very short or leave your forehead covered. Remember, everything is about creating balance. As an example, Hirano Aya is well-known for her naturally high hairline. From the pictures below, it is obvious that she looks much better with her forehead covered or partially covered:

Thank you very much Added on July 21, 2011, 3:06 pmI've heard that it's better to put hair serum before straightening our hair. Any good and cheap ones to recommend? Yeah, we need to see your face structure and type of hair first. If it helps, try to look for the latest hair styles in various websites.
