The cornrow is real. Haha. My hair was actually like the 3rd Row 3rd from left before I did it. It's done with the help of hair extension as well. I was in Africa at that time... it was around 100 in ringgit...

those guys with mid/long hair using gatsby use any good and cheap hairspray? i'm looking for hairsprays below RM10

ermm..not too long for rowing though, i might row my hair in future too, but afraid that it does not suit me, you know, this hair is especially for negro...

Yes it is especial for africans. In fact, it's very difficult for chinese or asians to do cornrow because we normally have straight and silky hair. And with straight and silky hair, your cornrows can't last long. Probably a few weeks. That's also another reason why I had to use the hair extension. The extension gives volume to your hair (e.g. makes your cornrows look thicker) and helps to "hold" your cornrows so that the braiding won't become loose as fast as without the extension.

Unfortunately, my cornrows only last for 4 days.


Ahem... not because of losing the cornrows, it's just that I couldn't stand not washing my hair for days! IT.WAS.SO.ITCHY.


My african friend told me, if we want to have thick and rough hair, we can try using washing powder (that's right, Dynamo) to wash our hair~
Don't feel I thought they were joking too. But true, that's how they do it.

Hey, maxlaw, you colored your hair when you were having short hair right?

you color it at saloon or by yourself? i always wanted to color, but my hair is short and saloon offer me rm60, i think it's overbudget for me, and short hair, we cut it seldomly, and the color does not last long also..

I coloured my hair at saloon, and I coloured when it's still short. If your hair is growing very fast, you'll need to do colouring quite frequently in order to "maintain" the colour.

Depending on the saloons and the colouring products being used, RM60 can be reasonable sometimes.

I think the saloon that did my hair used L'Oreal. I'm not quite sure about the details of the products, but my hair colour seems to look more vibrant with time (e.g. getting blonder and blonder). Also, they told me they have different range of colouring products. Some are gentle to the hair, and some can damage the hair (but can produce nice colours).

Bleaching + Dying will be more expensive than Dying per se.

Dude, pic a bit blur. Cant see the details. Your hair type is kinda curly with thick volume isnt it? If it is, why dont you try to shorten it a bit (something short like mawi) and to spice it up, make some design at the upper area of sideburn, one stripes or two... if its your cup of tea lah
