hi, i got 2 black dress shirts.. one dress shirt has black checkered pattern and another one has vertical stripes also in black. hardly worn cuz im not really sure how to pair them. wat colour of tie to pair wiv?

n also, ive came across recently tat more ppl paired black dress shirt with brown tie n brown pants.. is tat ok since black n brown said not to worn together..? quite confused cuz sometimes it looked nice..
