u know, we have answered the same set of questions MANY times. next time if u really become one of us, u will understand how we feel when newbies just come in and throw out basic questions like this.

can we know what u already know?

haw77, just curious to ask: you said you are leaving your home for study, therefore able to raise a pet. Have you thought of how would you handle your pet after you have finished your study and you have to return home after graduation? A pet has a minimum life span of 10 years, not 3 or 4 years, are you ready to take the pet with you till the last day of his life? Or you are giving away your pet to someone after your graduation, since you are going back to your house and your mother definitely doesn't like a pet?

I'm just curious to ask only. Of course no one would know what could happen up next, but a pet life is still a life, that's what my mother said also... You might be a good owner, too.

p.s: RM1200 without MKA, way too expensive for me...

Haw....Some toy poodle is 1000++ because of the fur quality..
Eg. Coca Cola fur colour = 1000+++
      Silver colour = 1000++ also
      most rare silver beige colour = 2000+++

Or if you really scare that the price is slightly to high you can try post the puppy picture at here and let us see for you haha

But If you plan to adopt a poodle...you have to prepare a longer life time of take care the pet...because poodle has longer life time compare to other dog =D

some tea cup can reach up to 1.5-2k+ it depends with colors also if not mistaken. But believe me you shouldn't get a teacup if u are 1st time owner as getting a teacup basically means u're getting a "human baby" cause you need to be nearly 24 hours watching it. By mini poodle you refer to miniature poodle or "mini-size" poodle?

Miniature poodle => the Height should be around 11-15 inches (28-38 cm) but some will grown slightly bigger or smaller and the weight would be around (7-8 kg)

Tea cup cost more expensive than toy and the cost of taking care of them also not cheap. Tea cup more fragile and much more smaller so if you don't have any experience, getting tea cup on ur 1st try is a no for me. But if you still want to have tea cup it's ur choice then

I do love small dogs but tea cup is not on my list now as I have yet to have the 'money/expenses" to own one and commitment to be there 24 hours a day. Maybe when I think I do have the experience and the guts to have a tea cup I might get 1 my self but I still prefer poodle with long legs.

Tea cup cost more because its a "T-cup" and it used to be not son much in the market but now you can see some ppl are selling t-cup poodles now.

Actually poodles has different traits? It depends on what type of 'traits' you want for your poodle. If you prefer those teddy bear face/cut you should go for poodles with short muzzle and short/long legs? but if you want to have continental cut you should go for poodle with long muzzle and long legs. I my self prefer long muzzle with long legs 
Tiny toy poodle is just a terms to call a toy poodle that is slightly smaller than the normal toy

Haw77: My Suggestion is u get a Toy Poodle Haw....If this is your 1st time of getting a puppy then dont get a tea cup because T-Cup has a weaker body and easy to get a halo on the head....
Haw the softness of the fur will affect but need see how the fur...like my fur is thick type...no like other dog their fur from which side see also saw the skin..I give example nia arrrrrrh!!!
That mean the quality of my dog and other dog fur is different nor!!!

If you finding a T-Cup poodle before you buy it always remenber to see the puppy stomach or touch around see either is skinny or really a T-Cup....Always remenber alot seller is =( (i hate this because i experiences it before tell me is toy poodle when grow up is miniature then i mai pek cek and sold it ><)

Abt Tiny Toy poodle...i really donnu why they replaces toy poodle to tiny toy and miniature poodle size to toy poodle.....

You mentioned before poodle is not easy to find in Sarawak right? The expensive cost might be because of that reason. People tend to high up the price of some specific breeds cause its hard to find.

Actually I think you should find poodle on Sarawak better. You see lets say the poodle cost 2k but you can bring the puppy back to ur house without any problem. But if you buy from KL with the price 950 + procedure to bring back to Sarawak + quarantine, in the end it might cost u even higher than 2k and you might need to be careful as well cause flight-in a puppy+quarantine will eventually make the puppy to be so stressful.

So which one you want to choose?

Toy Poodle at sarawak is really expensive becos....sarawak people are rich and less breeder!!!

My home town was at sarawak and I got few frend doing the export job...which mean they take my puppy and send it to sabah or sarawak!!!

I not sure....because i didnt ask before haha!!! but I know they use ship to import the dog...

Dear Yeowa....Which eye of u saw i BS here....The actual reason for the expensive price is because of the procedure neede and quarantine...Are u sure that is the real reason??? Do u know sarawak and sabah also have their own breeder?? u say they import from taiwan....U tot malaysia dog all from malaysia?? if yes then the person should study more is you...Malaysia ppl if want play dog we play quality but not all breeder are...We'll usually import the dog from taiwan or any other country to get better bloodline....

I know about this as initially, I wanted to buy a toy poodle for my mum in kuching... The minimum quarantine is 1mths which adds up to 6months if the rabies jab is not in the body for up to 6mths... You can even answer properly about the price of the poodles... When some of them curiously ask why ur grey poodle is so cheap as well as MKA and non-MKA prices, I know something is not right... I do hope you come in to this thread and build up ur repport first that u r not a backyard breeder... Some ppl don't care, because they want it cheap... But I do care, because some ppl might buy a sick puppy from u, and from ur style, u will switch 'ON' ur denial mode... It is importan to see how you will keep on supporting and advice ur customer even after many years of buying the poodle from u...

Get it at australia, and then bring ur them back from there. At least u can choose and do not need to worry about quarantine... I am not quarelling, I am just trying to let him know the fact. Why don't u call jabatan haiwan in semmenggok, the officer there can tell u all about the procedures...

They know if u r to get from peninsular and thailand, there is a quarantine involved and will cost more in terms of the buyers time and mental preparedness to visit their pup every day at the quarantine station...

u going for melbourne for long time or just a short study at there??? if you going to melbourne for long time.....then i suggest u get the puppy after u finish your studies!!!

but if just for temporary then u can either get 1 now or get it after your study!!!

The price huge differences...I think is because of the demand is high than supply haha!!!
