Hey guys i need help urgently... my toy poodle have been getting dry skin flakes all over the body and the groomer said that it might be fungus infection...what should i do?
i brought her to the vet and the vet like very unprofessional and also charge me expensive price sumore  mad.gif !!!

The flakes are spreading rapidly throughout the body... Please tell me some info if u happen to know something about it!!! thanks in advance!
She is just 4 months and something having cough like sounds as well!!! thanks ya guys!

You can try some anti-bacteria/fungus shampoo. The doctor never prescribe you with anything?? If its a lot and increasing, the pup may need some medication.

same like my puppy previously ..

da flakes tht look like dandruff turned out to be fleas ... he was given frontline for that and also i tried yenlu's method - bathing time, put shampoo and let stand for 10 min , then baru rinse off.  Now the flakes are all gone.

Then cough, he was given antibiotic and it heals now.

glad he is alright now wink.gif

not all case are prescribe with antibiotic. Some vet do concern the age of the dogs, and the level of skin problem. In most case, they will avoid medication. Too much medication is not a good thing.

No problem using it undiluted, no need use glove... LOL.. plenty of my customers came in request to bath their dog with malaseb (own shampoo).. if its so strong and have to use glove I think my hands burn already, and not safe for our furkids' delicate skin..... Generally, malaseb is ok, the only downside is it will dries up the fur. So after the "treatment", stop using it an revert back to normal shampoo. For dogs with frequent skin irritation, you can opt for natural anti-bacteria shampoo to maintain, and use malaseb once in a blue moon if you see irritation returns, and then you will need to figure out what cause the irritation to the skin. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hii guys, i want to join you all in this thread to learn more , i have a teacup poodle , currently 6month old only. Since i buy it from a breeder it already have ticks, then about 4 month old , once the groomer say it ready to be groomed, i bring it to shave botak, but now the ticks come back again.. i heard there's some medicated thing call front line to kill tick if the ticks bite on his skin, but he only 6month old, do you think is okay to use it on him? i scare those pet shop will simply give advice to earn money.

frontline is save for even few weeks old puppies... make sure you use it correctly. For easier application you may try Frontline Spot On or Spot On combo...
