RM130 for the whole grooming session or only rm130 for the detangle part?which pet shop?House of Groomer?i experienced once before...grooming is RM120...but because got tangle...they charge RM60 per hr...so end up RM180 for the whole thing...

Most professional groomers will charge around 60-80RM per hour of dematting.

If a groomer doesn't charge you extra for dematting when your dog has a lot of tangles it is most likely because they will simply cut the mats out (rather than slowly detangle them as a professional would) leaving your dog's coat uneven and full of holes. Not only is an uneven coat ugly, it also mats faster.

If you don't want to pay extra, either keep your dog in a shorter clip, groom them more often or brush them well at home smile.gif

agreed with Divas. Some groomer are just too lazy to dematt the fur and they prefer to just cut or shave.
My maltese kena shaved by groomer when my friend bring her to their usual groomers. When I asked, the groomer said my girl's hair is tangled to much and cannot save so they propose to my friend to shave her till botak cry.gif
I have no idea about it that time because my friend only told me the groomer said need to cut short and I thought really CUT SHORT, thought I tell them not to cut face and tail area but everything done.... she came back as 'chinese crested' breed instead of maltese!!!!

Some more the groomer cut short the tail (which is now the tails is not growing like previously and also because her tails fur breaks a lot) and the face part cut one side short n one side long and her neck area like those beginner cut -.-" Some more I suspect the groomer treat her very badly as she got clipper burn on her body and rashes on one side due to her allergic to the clipper. She was so emo and angry when she reach home but I need to bring her to my usual groomer to help me trim her nice. From that day until now, she refuses to go for grooming and will scream/shout like dogs in pain and her body will shiver when I bring her to grooming.

I'm not her to scared you all but I hope people will learn more and understand about grooming. Like Divas mentioned, professional groomers will most likely to propose you bout dematting first but not to shave all the fur cause I know sometimes there are groomers who are lazy to dematt the worst tangle and prefer to shave it as it save time and easy to do. Honestly I prefer to pay more for dematt and how they treat my kids rather than pay cheap and shave when they said need to shave.

Thx. I got it from a LYN breeder. I've been getting few pups from him since last year. Very nice, healthy and quality pups he has. Mostly 7-8weeks pups. But this round earlier in 6 weeks. But so far Teddy is doing great with dieting, training and resting. Hehe...

Dear all poodle lovers here,

I'm not a poodle owner but planning to own 1 female (I have a female schnauzer). By going through this thread, am so excited to see many forumers get their own cute pups biggrin.gif

I had called MKA to ask for the poodle breeders but they seem like lazy to layan me..I wish to know that from who u all buy the poodle pup? Looking through the pet store section, seem like junnie and julia are 2 "reputable" breeder or seller...any other breeders i can looking for?

* 1 additional question to ask, can v bring the pup with no MKA to travel or migrate (juz in case) to other countries?

Any good advise would be appreciated.

Thanks.

welcome welcome to the family. I will PM you shortly.

There is no significant in having MKA or not in migrating a dog out. Just they are rules to be followed if you are to migrate to australia, new zealand or east malaysia where quarantine is a must. These countries/states are rabies free for your info. smile.gif

It is not cannot lar I think. It is just more procedure or MKA may make the process more simple. smile.gif You can always google and find out the country of your intent for migration. Mine was initially plan to send my pup back to hometown and learn about the procedure which are more or less the same(my assumption). smile.gif
