One of the biggest questions in the overclocking business is which hardware should I overclock that would yield more performance gains? Today I'm asking about GPU vs CPU,I want to ask you guys here which one yields more performance gains

well, that depends on what u want to achieve..more processing/calc speed or more fps in gaming?..

which one yields more perf gain?i think cpu..can raise vcore sumore but for gpu it's quite complicated(in my exp..need to flash yada2)..but last time i did, turns out, my rig not perform well..hang and randomly restart..not stable..

yea, depends on application used.
overclock cpu can have performance gain on productivity and gaming.
overclock gpu normally have performance gain on gaming only,
unless those application use gpu to do calculation. brows.gif

To me overclock CPU seems more viable unless your into some Folding@Home league then that's a different story

What kind of application? GPU is obviously for gaming while CPU is for both, but its still depends on application, and in gaming, resolution you play

better use software to oc la.flashing gpu with modified bios is too risky.. last time i done it to my 3850 and caused my gpu RIP.. sweat.gif
