Will anyone, by any chance, be heading to Vietnam or Indonesia this October between 9th to 17th? I'm on leave on that whole week and I'm torn between Hanoi and Jakarta-Bandung-Yogyakarta. Still haven't planned anything yet. Initially thought of going alone but parent's paranoid since I was admitted to the hospital when I was in Singapore alone

i backpacked to Penang before. stayed at the hostel, and the staff treated all guests the same

but i got the same questions from a lot of other backpackers, asking me why you local come backpack in Penang haha. i'm planning to backpack to KK this october.

yeap, alone. still looking for companion, if got then good, can share car rental i'll save the hiking for next time. just planning to travel around KK and Kundasang. not sure if i should go for islands (go islands alone mcm very kesian )

i'm going indonesia this October for a week. So far have plans for Jakarta (staying for a night) and Jogja (maybe 2 or 3 nights). so i have 1 more place to decide. still thinking if i should go bandung

has anyone here once booked hostel on the site and paid the deposit (7 days), but then later realized you might wanna change your plans and shorten your stay (7 days to 4 days)? as far as i know, the deposit paid won't be refunded (unless i selected the option that allows such), and i just have to pay for the changed plan (4 days)? (meaning i dont have to pay for 7 days)
