Is anyone going to Korea in the near future?

I'm trying ways to get cheap flights. Found a tour agency offering the places I wanna go (Mt Sorak and Jeju Isalnd) for around 3.5k all in.

Planning to go free and easy if it's cost efficient. That's the case but airport tax is already almost a thousand for a round trip...
I did read online somewhere that the flight can be obtained cheaply for around 100USD. Anyone knows anything about it?

Btw I also hear that October is the worst time to go to SK due to their major holiday or something?
