Has anyone been to Paris before? Heard few robbery cases from friends n all. Is the safety there that bad?

Paris got to be careful; been lucky so far but we were always cautious of our surroundings. It's not VERY unsafe, but i would put it very close to Guangzhou in terms of petty crimes. Witnessed people stealing things from a grocery store first-hand and they even look you in the eyes daring you to tell the cops.

I am going on a hitchhiking trip from Malaysia (Penang) > Thailand > crossing Laos @ChiangKhong > HuayXai > Mengla China > all the way up to Mongolia then hopefully if i can get Tibet permit from Tibet to Nepal then to Agra flying back from Agra Intl Airport
1 month trip Let me know if anyone would like to join should be ultra cheap coz hitchhiking n couchsurfing (meaning not paying for transport n accommodation) I might be travelling alone on Annapurna Circuit *ONE OF THE BEST TRAIL IN THE WORLD* (probably meeting travelmate on the way up) Rates for around RM50 for food and lodging per day exclu equipment (which i have) and excl permits around RM150 for 2 permits. Anybody here interested to go for 2 weeks Spanish language course in Malaga, Spain?
My plan is to fly from KUL to Amsterdam on 16 Nov 2013, then from there to Malaga. The course is on 18-30 Nov. After that I plan to go to Barcelona or Mardrid, spend a day or 2 there & back to Amsterdam for another 2 days before flying back to KUL. Let me know if anyone interested. I'm a female, so a female companion is preferred. This post has been edited by Sim On: Sep 21 2013, 05:57 PM |

I've been to Guangzhou for 2-3 times in past 1-2years back and its quite safe indeed. Stand to be corrected for current situation if im wrong.;-) |
