Next month go to hiking, Mont Semeru. Surabaya, East Java for 10 days

Just a personal opinion though. Not recommended to go during year end to at least March for diving trips though this still depend on luck. Monsoon session though some have met with heavy rain during mid year as well.

thanks for the head up, do realise that the recommended dive period is mar to sept just like east coast islands of peninsular.

info that i gather is if no rain on jan-feb, less crowd and better chances of more dives to sipadan island. disadvantage is heavy rain and lower viz.

Besides that, i am quiet free from works during Jan and Feb, any other good diving spot within malaysia or south east asia?

Well, if you don't mind, you can try the islands in the west side of MY which is not affected. There's also Phi phi island, Phuket and other choices.

And yes, the info jan-feb = less crowd is correct but still that depends on luck as well. Even in the peak season, there are chances of low viz and heavy rain too.

what i mean is i plan travel alone like cowboy and walk full day and stay nearby station.
i asking how much cost about it.

i use to travel Melaka whole day 1 day and sleep at Melaka Sentral ( well study at Melaka too )
and have travel around JB town 1 day and sleep at bus station too., (waiting morning bus)

Now plan to go sweden and walk around like bawse.

i went before last 2 year with family and my uncle family in winter day.
Most restaurant food are oily and salty, but really delicious.
