lol...i changed my 4870x2 to aftermarket cooler. the accelero xtreme 4870x2.
now idle 40C load 73C max. slight OC only cos 4870x2 stock already very high clocks.
Overclock GTX460 shorten the lifespan?

there is no point to overclock ur GC unless u buy the low profile to overclock to match any mid end GC than that is worth .. 460GTX series already good enough nowadys game ... even thought u overcock it it show not much depends and some of games not jux depsnds on GC but also their driver .. and tecnology ... want fully c the difference better do uopgrade from GTX460 to 480

i think it should be ok to OC ur card..
my GTX460 running @830mhz and temp around 65c.. satisfied with its performance.. dont think it will severely shortened d lifespan.. |
