nah, cheese means using some 'cheap' tactic to win. for example cannon rush i.e. instead of building a base 'normally,' some protoss player rush probe to your base and build pylon and cannons.

Cheese is a generic term for a diverse group of milk-based food products. Cheese is produced throughout the world in wide-ranging flavors, textures, and forms.

Cheese consists of proteins and fat from milk, usually the milk of cows, buffalo, goats, or sheep. It is produced by coagulation of the milk protein casein. Typically, the milk is acidified and addition of the enzyme rennet causes coagulation. The solids are separated and pressed into final form.[1] Some cheeses have molds on the rind or throughout. Most cheeses melt at cooking temperature.

Hundreds of types of cheese are produced. Their styles, textures and flavors depend on the origin of the milk (including the animal's diet), whether they have been pasteurized, the butterfat content, the bacteria and mold, the processing, and aging. Herbs, spices, or wood smoke may be used as flavoring agents. The yellow to red color of many cheeses is from adding annatto.

Cheese definition in starcraft is doing something that is capable of finishing the enemy off and yet not being able to do anything to stop it . ( well some of them who are familiar will be able to ward off the attacks ) . Barrack Barrack supply are considered as a cheese strategy.

A few examples of cheesy tactics:

Protoss: Pylon Cannon Cannon

Terran: Barracks Bunker Marines

Zerg: Quite hard to cheese... unless you are really pro.

we call it a cheesy tactic

something out of the norm

tactics which is off book

the thing about RTS is, strategies are in the end played like a book, so it sometimes gets boring.

but some people manage to pull of some "cheesy" tactics which is not normal all wierd, and wins the game

why? did someone called you a cheese maggot? ROFL

Rush tactic is cheesey.

So in SC, consider not much strategy move. You can build lots of SCV, and rush to enemy base. If you can clear your enemy base, then its Cheesey win. IMO.

Example: In SF game, Using only Ryu's hadoken to win is consider Cheesey. You will see Cheese icon there. No much combo or tactics in attack.

IMHO, the definition for cheese is when you execute a strategy/tactic to your opponent (or vice versa) that they are not prepare for (or less prepared). You can call these strategy "off the books" but strictly speaking, where's the "official" book that stores the "allowable" strategy. The whole point of RTS (Real Time STRATEGY) game is coming up with a strategy that beat your opponent. The best way is to beat when opponent are not expecting it (Metagame)

Some of the common "cheese" strategy, 5 rax reaper, cannon wall in at opponent's choke, planetary fortress rush, mothership rush, proxy hatchery with queen + spine, 2 gate zealot all in.

Some say that koreans are immune to cheese. You can see so many videos on youtube showing how koreans deal with cheese and counter push and win. This is because koreans, and most above average gamer would've played with these cheese before and instead of whining about it, they have the attitude to find out ways to defend against it.

Most people are mad when they get cheesed, saying things like "That stupid idiot cheesed me with a proxy pylon in my base", then I'd say "Why did you scout your base for pylon earlier instead of whining about it after?"
Same goes to all the other strategy, reaper rush can be fend of if you scout properly and defend accordingly.

Shu Tzu once said “Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories.
