I will say greed is the reason TS got conned.

Sure, we all want cheap stuffs. But we also need to know with cheap things come problems like faulty item, fake item, scam and so on. Someone who is not so greedy will most probably do his homework. Browse around and compare and so on. Especially when people warn you about the sales being suspicious. You still bank in the money to that person without making precautions? That is not only greedy but downright stupid.

Compare to a real life situation, when you made a mistake (something unintentional). Sure, no point blaming you cause the damage already being done. But does that means your parents will not scold you? Does that means you are not to be blamed for doing something wrong even though you did not intentionally do it? Despite getting warned from parents to be careful? After made the mistake then only ask help from parents? Isn't that being ignorant and stupid? I think you get the point.
