Here's my result regarding 6-Cell Battery Life

Watch anime (hellsing 480p mkv file) : 22 Minutes

Surfing internet (Chrome with 4 tab+) using wifi : 3 Hours 31 Minutes

So total up around 3 hours and 51 minutes using battery laugh.gif

What housekeeping ive did:

- Startup program only load anti virus (nod 32), orbit downloader, dell dock, and Ati catalyst
- Uninstalled McAfee and Face Recognition software
- Use Power Saver mode

So that's my experience on the battery life. I'm impressed biggrin.gif

That's pretty impressive.. What's the brightness level? If dun watch anime I think u can squeeze 4hours++

Try doing some benchmark tests and maybe try playing some games haha
*
Im using power saver mode during the test, so im not sure what's the brightness level, I just use it without customization

Hehe, im not sure wanna do benchmark or not. My M101z is too cute to be tortured tongue.gif

Well, if want battery life sure have to sacrifice something 1 ma haha  laugh.gif... In my view, weight really doesn't matter that much but size does though smile.gif

Agreed, its one of the best at the moment, very tempting!  drool.gif
*
For mobility, yeah! If i have d budget I'll buy the 9 cell battery as backup battery drool.gif

Too bad M101z 9 cell battery isn't available to be bought separately sad.gif

Touchpad : well positioned , I can use the touchpad without even need to re-adjust my other hand position on the lappy (I got pretty big hands). the button click is soft and make a soft click sound, i love it. the touchpad surface..im not sure how to comments on it, ideas? laugh.gif

Hihi Mr. Pikacu  notworthy.gif
Is the M101z susceptible to fingerprints and smudge? Especially the palm rest and lid area, is it made of glossy material?

Looking for a mobile lappy and the M101z is actually very, very tempting  drool.gif
*
Sadly but yeap...the plam rest and lid are made of glossy material...and they are susceptible to smudge and fingerprints...

I am really considering buying transparent skin for my lid sweat.gif but since its small...hopefully won't be that pricey (no idea where to buy it yet)

other than that, everything about M101z...i love it...kyaaaaaaa (gayish sound) ~ tongue.gif laugh.gif

the best part is...plug in the hdmi port from LCD/LED TV and walah, u have ur own everything-player laugh.gif

with -0.05 undervolt, my M101z can last for ~95 minutes of 480p mkv anime, after that still got like ~20% battery life

p/s: I made it by undervolting my M101z by -0.1v, but yet to test it throughfully. According to W7 battery meter, maybe I can reach up to 4 hours ~ 4 hours 48 minutes on idle + light internet surfing laugh.gif

p/s 2: i'm eco-frenly aka green freak tongue.gif

QUOTE(daron @ Aug 30 2010, 04:26 PM)
how about its performance?
is it lagging with anything?
flash games, watching HD movies, virus scan.. overall usage with everyday task?
*
For my case, booting from bios -> windows..damn fast. even faster than my Phenom II X4 desktop sweat.gif
game performance, i didnt test it out yet.

lagging? nope...iv yet to feel the lagging ..i mainly use my m101z for surfing, youtube videos (usually 360p/480p due to speedish-tmnut) and typing documents.

I have no problem watching 480p vid anyway tongue.gif

For HD vid (720p/1080p), I didn't try it out yet.

as for virus scan, I've uninstall d LagAfee and installed NOD32, i didn't feel any stutter-ish from that.

and for everyday task for me... (surfing, watch movies and watch movies via LCD TV HDMI, writing documents)...i feel that M101z is d one im looking for all this while thumbup.gif

(before Fusion comes lol)

This is exactly how I felt with K125.
Your K325 should give you much smoother feel. thumbup.gif
Excellent choice on the NOD32.
A very fast netbook indeed.

Yeap, I love my M101z.

I think I found the reason why it is kinda heavier than I thought; the build quality is superb I must say. I lift my M101z alot using only at its tip...and no sign of any bending from what I observe

Pikacu,
how's the heat after you undervolt it? i mean is it comfortable to put it on your lap?
is the fan still keep kick in loud although it's idle?
really appreciate with your feedback about this..  nod.gif
*
Hi there,

this is the result after -0.1v undervolt..

The heat ..
- from temperature monitoring software; quite reasonable, my processor temp was around 47~55 depends on process currently it handles. temperature from IBT doesn't count.. laugh.gif (was like 59~61 wit -0.1v). On my lap, a little warm, and pretty comfortable on my laps smile.gif
- from the exhaust hole; i can't really tell if it have any effect or not laugh.gif

on idle, the fan really really quite. but when some process kicks, the fan sound went up a little, and the harddisk spinning is..noticeable.

hope this help...i try my best to give the unbiased feedback laugh.gif
