i am using a 6k philip hid & my ballast is damage, can i just replace the ballast? what is the price?

if next time i were to change to 4.3k hid, so can i use a 6k ballast with a 4.3k bulb? 4.3k or 6k better for nite driving? i travel alot, thks in advance
