Well after you have the account, everything is very convenient with Maybank2u internet banking, cash/cheque deposit machine, phone banking and ATM machine. Just the start up is a little troublesome.

RHB is ok or not?

He did say that "RHB Bank ranks the lowest, with untidy interfaces, lots of unfixed errors, browser compatibility issues etc.

Yameh? i just know the HLB like that only. but unless also open too much bank..
*
Why you need that much of banks! doh.gif

When you planned to close, you'll be penalized. Having 3 now, I also considered "too many".

QUOTE(ayu @ Aug 1 2006, 07:10 PM)
Mean bring the cash RM260 enough? after register..we an direct take the cash from the ATM machine right?
*
Yes, bring that much amount of cash when you want to open an account at PB.

Well, I guess you can withdraw them out once your ATM card is active.

Ya, Thanks for all inform ~~ Go apply the BHB 2morro.  smile.gif

BHB? Which bank?

For PB, you can withdraw till you left RM1 in the account. Not so sure if it's applicable via ATM but it can be done at the counter.

Even though the bank is offering 24 hours Internet banking service, they will have daily scheduled maintenance; usually in the midnight or late midnight. BCB channel-e and Maybank2u are pretty good examples.

yeah, actually quite impressed with BCB, PBE is quite sluggish at certain time and HSBC is quite tedious of code generating with security device thingy
*
The HSBC security device is to tighten the security. I think it's a good selling point even though some may think it's tedious.

You want to lose all of your money or not?

wow! actually i recently bought something from an ebayer. my transaction history shown as "I-FUNDS TRF TO:XXXXXXXXXXXXXX"

so from my seller end, it should read "I-FUNDS TRF From Mr XXX Acc# XXXXXXXXXXXXXX"?

conclusion, BCB 3rd party transfer is very secured against identity theft. those active LYNer traders must adopt BCB immediately rclxms.gif

How you define "very secure"?

Just want to share my frustations, usually I want to do some Internet banking during midnights on certain days. Found out that Maybank2u and BCB channel-e always down for maintenance at these hours. Service will resume after 2am or 3am.

For PB, I don't think that their Internet banking is 24 hours; till midnight only. At Maybank2u and BCB are still better in this sense.

its further protection against "conman-in-the-middle" trick. refer http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=321722&st=0 and lots more cases at lelong & ebay. using mb2u, seller only "sees" money coming in, but kenot verify from where. the mb2u receipt/screenshot can also be easily created/ photoshopped. scammers love mb2u tongue.gif

There's pros and cons regarding this.

Pros is privacy issue is settled. Cons is you don't know where the money comes from.

Of course you need to apply for it. I'm not sure about Maybank but for BCB, you need to register and wait till they mail you the PIN. It was last time and I don't know now.

Seems like AmBank and Alliance Bank are the good choices if you do a lot of inter-bank fund transfer.
