QUOTE(Patent @ Jan 12 2014, 02:26 PM) yup. http://www.goldfries.com/hardware-reviews/...sor-apu-review/published on 15th - support local! *btw Kaveri discussion in Bulldozer / Bobcat thread? Anyway Kaveri doesn't hold any performance crown. It is however, a great technology package that opens the avenue to many possibilities.

QUOTE(febreze2xxx @ Feb 24 2014, 11:18 AM) But I think amd spoke person said it's ok if GDDR5 version of R7 240 and R7 250. er, yeah that's what they say and most people say. it was after AMD sent me the official document that's when I "WTH didn't the spokesperson said GDDR5 work!?!?!" QUOTE For those in the market for a discrete graphics card, AMD Dual Graphics harnesses the power of both the dedicated GPU and APU graphics for improved gaming performance. Pair the next-generation Kaveri A-Series APU with an AMD R7 graphics card (DDR3 version) and enable a solution faster than the single graphics card on its own. - sez AMD official document. oh and I have an R7 250 GDDR5 and it doesn't work. nuff said.

yeah i facepalm too.
previous generation can use HD 6670 GDDR5.
now forced to use GDDR3, set back a lot cos DDR3 vs GDDR5 quite huge performance gap.
