Benchmarks shows that Intel Core i5 and i7 will always yield higher framerates on the same graphics cards as compared to AMD FX. However, the AMD still offers acceptable performance.

If you're not upgrading your whole system, then your FX4300 will run fine with GTX680.. However, if you plan to upgrade your entire system, better stick to the Core i5 for now.

I am awaiting Jim Keller to come up with a new FX chip that can once challenge Intel's top of the line performance chip.
