QUOTE(MichaelJohn @ Jun 4 2011, 06:45 PM) Looks like things are heating up at ComputeX Which is a good thing, they don't have to change the brackets totally so that other 3rd party hsf can still be used... the BD is supposed to be a OCing beast so it'll need all the cooling it can get.... imagine having to wait till HSF manufacturers adjusts their bracket system before u can see OC benchmarks Though over some observation , some motherboard manufacturer didn't use the new bracketing system for the CPU Cooler for the upcoming 990Fx Mobos Credits to windwithme |

Hmm... not what I'd go for right now... AMD has always been good at price/performance ratio but this new line doesn't really stick to that concept / ideal anymore it seems although I'd welcome the FX8150 results to be better than the i5 but the price point is killing the interest really...

QUOTE(kevink82 @ Oct 14 2011, 10:43 AM) Even the new x79 chipset wont be in mass production it seems most board manufacturer deem it to expensive to gather general publix interest and the additional core wont appeal most buyers. Hard to say for sure, they already have the roadmap for the IB anyway so I doubt Intel will delay... besides AMD's BD actually beat the i7 on the gaming front so it won't be long for them to catch up if Intel stays stagnantSandy bridge is just too good in performance and price.... in this trend intel can delay ivy bridge for at least 2 more years and still be on par with bulldozer ; ; orz Actually the only thing preventing us from praising AMD now is the pricepoint of the new CPU... if the tech is priced similarly or lower than the i5 2500K then I'd imagine a lot of ppl interested with the 8150 |

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Oct 14 2011, 01:12 PM) Hmm.. and that shows BD winning against the i7 on gaming... well I guess I didn't read enough |
