I am quite curious why AMD Llano did not release a desktop 35w TDP version yet. Everybody know that Bobcat platform is great for HTPC, but itsnt great enough to be called perfect. no Blu-Ray 3D support doh.gif

Intel SB 2100T is here already, all we need is a AMD LLano + better ATI driver to complete this.

HD3D support , not blu ray 3D support @.@ ? Llano proc using UVD 3 o.O .

Well, numbers of cores do matter anyways.. Even if it can win i7 2600k in terms of simulation etc, per core performance, it MIGHT not be able to win sb..
But I really hope it will be able to win even for per core performance smile.gif
Then it will be the king of cpu for at least until intel shows what will come out from ivy bridge..

Dont forget that Intel SB can run on stock volt @ 4GHz-4.2GHz easily. That means Intel can come out faster model up to 3.6-3.8GHz.

another question will they launch new SB models if bulldozer really beat SB?
or will they change the plans for early release of IB?

Well, as long is it's indeed true in the end, then they have every right to imply it in their comics.. Otherwise... >_>

Just got my Zacate MSI E350IA-E45 machine as a HTPC. Spent like only 450 bucks. Full HD 1080p playback is decent, though it is not perfect probably 90%, all these are due to the driver issue. When I play 1080p I pretty much have no resources room for anything else. but at least it can play 1080p without problems, despite with all that I still happy to spend extra RM200 than buying a stupid media player These come with 3yrs warranty + internet + torrent, compared to media player 1 yr warranty. It is worth it.

AMD will release Black Edition APUs in Q4, A8-3870 and A6-3670. The stock clock speed of them is higher than A8-3850 and A6-3670 by 200MHz respectively, that is 3.1GHz, 2.8GHz.

Benchmark of A8-3870 Black Edition.
In the testing, A8-3870 was oced to 3.6GHz-4.2GHz, voltage was adjusted to 1.600-1.728v (Value from CPU-Z). The RAM, 4GB DDR3, was oc-ed to 2400-2500MHz.

With a good cooler and mobo, and decent BIOS setting, 5GHz A8-3870 on air cooling is not a problem.

Bus speed iwas same, but the multiplier was adjusted to 42x. Clock speed was simply reached 4.2GHz. CPU-Z showed 1.600v, but the K10stat (special tool for checking status of K10 architecture processor) showed 1.3375V. At that time, the processor used 9.406 seconds to finish Prime 32M (DDR3-1600MHz), while A8-3850 stock clock requires 14.5 seconds.

3.925GHz (175MHz x 25), P1930 in 3DMark.

Clock speed was lowered by 500MHz, 3.875GHz (155MHz x 25), 11822 in 3DMark06, yet another world record.

4.2GHz (150MHz x 28), 21101 in 3DMark. brows.gif

AMD Trinity APU Might Power Xbox 360 Successor

- Trinity that will consume less than 50% the power of today's lowest power, 35W Llano APU today.
- Trinity will be AMD's first Bulldozer-based APU
- AMD's Trinity to Be at Least 50% Faster than Llano
