And if they really could beat Intel, they wouldn't have to constantly delay the launch. All these delays will put AMD in an even worse position as the release date of first gen BD is getting so close to Intel's IB release date. Intel will once again destroy AMD shortly after BD gets released....sad

The price doesn't even matter if the chip can't perform as good as, if not better than, intel's offering. Another question is the longevity of the AM3+ socket. Nobody is going to try saving money going AMD if the socket was to be discontinued in 6 months while 1155 would carry forward to IB.

You know what AMD really needs to do? STFU with the news, rams, and etc and get the CPUs out the door ASAP. AMD is almost like Najib, I'm getting sick of it TBH.

http://vr-zone.com/articles/amd-fx-series-...der/13540.html#Sad, QUOTE The first AMD FX CPUs have shown up for pre-order at Shopblt.com. The three SKUs listed are FX-8150, FX-8120 and FX-6100 priced at $266, $222 and $189 respectively. The good news is that the pricing is lower than expected - previously rumoured to be in the $300 to $320 range for the top CPU. The bad news is that such pricing suggests the FX-8150 is unlikely to beat Core i7 2600 in many situations. As always, pre-order prices are normally higher than launch prices. Hence, we can expect the FX CPUs to sell for even lesser. The three CPUs are much the same as revealed by Gigabyte earlier. FX-6100 and FX-8150 have a TDP of 95W and 125W respectively. However, FX-8120 has a TDP of 125W at launch, while a future revision will drop the TDP of FX-8120 down to 95W. There's no indication of shipping dates as of now. Read more: http://vr-zone.com/articles/amd-fx-series-...l#ixzz1Xj568frFKinda figured. Glad I stopped waiting and went Intel. Good luck to those who are still waiting, hopefully it's at least *close* to 2500k/2600k I can't imagine it being worse than previous gen. If they fail again, they likely would compete with blue ocean strategy instead of going head-to-head again with intel in terms of raw processing power.

I've heard a lot about benchmarks don't correctly reflect AMD's processing power. This also applies to ATI GPUs. Whether this is true or not, I have no clue.

4.5ghz is easy me and oki are both running over 5ghz. Now if 2700k can hit 5.5-5.7ghz for 24/7, I'm sold

I'm glad that ATI is not really handled by the same team If ATI 7 series shows crap performance I'm switching to Nvidia
